Personally, I like having physical books, and it's fun being able to grab something fairly random off my shelf.. but they take a lot of space when I travel, so eReaders are tempting, assuming publishers catch up with modern times at some point.
What do others think? Is there a reason you prefer one format over another? I'm trying to focus on official manga for now, not fan translations.

I LOVE having physical books, and I collect physical books of all kinds (Currently I pretty much buy any medical books between 1850-1900).
With Manga, I would prefer to read it on my Nexus 7 tablet, although I would still want the physical copies.
Your option of "Physical book with eBook discount" would be 100% up my alley!
For traveling I could just load the eBooks to my tablet, and when at home I could just snag the physical copy off my shelf and pop on the couch for a read.

Reading from an actual book is easier on my eyes so I prefer that over any electronic device.

Combination manga sound like a good ideal. Having many mangas on one tablet is useful. Like an MP3 player. A voucher for manga.

I am a big fan of the physical book, so I'd say good old fashioned analog paper is fine by me.
That said, I have purchased a few digital books, and have enjoyed them. But I do find it considerably troubling that many of them are locked format based on your device, with pesky DRMs.
If there was a consistent version of buying digital cheaper than physical, or getting digital with physical (a la combo DVD), I would buy more and regularly.
Until then, I'm happy with a big library full of books.

Physical books, of course, but in the future it will just be more realistic to have e-books.

I'm surprised the poll is going toward physical books considering all the hype we keep hearing on e-books. If nothing else, on the off chance I get to meet the actual creator of the manga there's no way I'm going to get him/her to sign my tablet/ipad.

I prefer reading it on the web, only because you can zoom in and out, and also there are discussions on the manga that I can openly view easily.

Furthermore, real books take up more room then ebooks/ a computer.

Physical books, it's convenient and more versatile in where and when you can read them. No electricity required either. But since a combination of physical + free/discounted eBook is a no loss option, clearly the best choice.

Nothing beats that 'fresh book smell'! I can't concentrate when i read manga online. I can't say i've read any through an ebook though.
