Sub. I agree with Capt. I'm pretty sure it's because I've always watched anime with subs in the first place.
Dubs just sound so weird to me.. I don't like English-speaking voice actors covering Asian things (not racist, it's just fits weirdly into my head..). There is only one anime that I've ever liked with Dubs and that's Dragon Ball Z. Well, haha.. that's because the Japanese voice actors for DBZ sounded like they were 15. Goku sounded like he was 11.

Subs.

People who watch english dubs are just too lazy/dumb for the sub.

Man there are so many reasons why sub is better.. but its said often enough.

I used to be a dub guy. Lately I can't even watch most good dubs. It just doesn't sound right. English voice actors tend to be a little too cartoony. Looking at you Greg Aryes... I'm not even sure how that guy gets work.

i like both but some show sound way better in eng dub (my opinion). I liked history strongest disciple, gurren lagann, yuyu hakusho, cowboy bebop, BECK(MONGOLIAN CHOP SQUAD), high school of the dead. These are the shows that got me into anime. but it just comes to your own preference in the end

I prefer dubs mainly because I can understand the language and prefer not to read when watching something. I don't mind watching subs, I watch lots of anime on this site. I understand that English and Japanese are different languages and some things get lost in translation but that doesn't bother me that much. I also don't think one is better than the other there's good dubs and bad dubs and I'm sure not every sub is perfect.

SUB!!! Because most dubs are TERRIBLE! Now I not saying that all dubs are bad, some are pretty good. I actually began with dubs because the first anime I watched was Sailor Moon, and I watched it when I was really young. But now that I'm older and I have seen the sub I really prefer it to the dubbed version (not only because of the voices and stuff but because of all the stupid censorship that DIC had, ex. the fact that Zoisite is a guy, or that Haruka and Michiru are lesbians not cousins). But yeah subs all the way!!!

Stop making sub vs dub threads, it's getting to be too many.

I prefer dubs, but I usually watch both if I own a copy of it (provided both languages are on the disk). I'm not going to give my reasons for liking them because I've done so many other times and nobody really listens to any points I make (half of the time).

Give me good reasons, at least five. Thanks for calling me dumb and lazy by the way (and anyone else who watch English dubs, which is the majority of the US).

He gets work because he's a great actor. Voice doesn't matter, it's all about the performance. Obviously.

Most voices do not fit the characters. Or they have to rewrite it a bit and that makes the anime loads worse. There are a few good dubs out there like Trigun and Cowbot Bebop but for the most part they take away from the origional rather then being just as good or better. Try watching Baka and Test. Their dub was really horrible.

Your opinion, but if Sylvester Stallone was trying to play the lead actor in a romantic comedy, performance would be irrelevant. Obviously.

I'm currently watching the dub now (after originally having viewed it as a sub). The only issue I've had with it is that I would have thought they would have tried going with a more feminine sounding voice for Hideyoshi.

If I've seen the sub of a series, I try to wait at least a year before watching the dub, so that my impressions on whether the voices are "right" or not isn't so strongly colored by my memories of the voices in the sub.

If you think the dub of Baka and Test is "really horrible", you should no doubt stay far, far away from the latter part of Guin Saga.
