None of the above! Japanese audio with no pesky subtitles please!

(Or at the very least, subs I can turn off please, preferably in a preference so I don't have to turn them off for every video I watch Crunchyroll!)

Typically, I prefer a sub more (and that's for any movie or show and its respective culture). I think the original voices from that culture convey the message and feelings much better and in their most organic form. When you start dubbing things, the little subtleties of the culture get washed out a lot of the time.

Yep, I agree w/this. I like to watch things the way they were meant to be originally seen & heard.

^^This, it must be an adult thing. Probably because we're smarter and prefer subtitles. I don't mind reading and there's a great deal of Japanese colloquialisms that would be lost if dubbed.

Don't blame us. Blame your parents and education system.

The OP asks what I would prefer so that's just for me. But I allowed for at least subs that can be turned off, didn't I? Some shows don't allow them to be turned off which is very distracting for me...

Things are lost, changed, added, missed... for some it is like a different story. At least with subs you can still feel the emotion of the original voice cast. With dubs it takes very talented people to try and create a script which can be conveyed in the amount of time used by the Japanese speakers and yet convey the same meanings, emotions, humor... it is almost impossible. There are some concepts which simply cannot be translated into English with the same meaning, emotion and humor at the same time. Talented translators can do a very good job but a perfect job is very difficult.

It depends I guess, sometimes they do a really good job with the dub
but I do really enjoy some anime in japanese, it just feels right...
though DBZ i will always watch in DUB never in SUB lol its the worst...
probably because I watched it in dub originally but I just can't get over how they sound
when they are powering up in Japanese, I think the english versions handle it a lot better

I prefer sub. I agree with many guys above that prefers sub. Also I thing that Japanese audio gives anime it's true soul. So English subs and Japanese audio please.

Subs. Very rarely is there a dub that can match the quality and voice acting of the original japanese voice actors. ROD The TV was a good dub, Excel Saga was a good dub (hell, the english v/a had to quit mid way because she damaged her voice from voicing the part of Excel)
There's a few other shows out there too where the dubbed version actually was better than the japanese version.

But for the most part, subs are preffered. Until I learn more japanese to where I can understand enough to get by without subs
which won't be for a long time.

I am suprised that the little bit I understand now, there are times where I understand the meaning of a word or phrase, and I can't translate it into english without using a lot of effort. So for certian words or phrases I immediately understand it, but it takes me a while to be able to understand what it means in english...

I've only ever tolerated two shows dubbed: Pokémon and FLCL. So, subs!

FLCL did have a pretty spot on dub. Haruko sounded nearly the same in both japanese and english versions.

I liked Naota's and Mamimi's voices in the dubbed version as well. Oh, I guess I didn't just tolerate the dubbed version, then, I liked it xD.

To me it all depends on the company, funimation for example has some of the best dub work, but for shows like soul eater i liked both subbed and dubbed equally. for venus versus virus I liked the dubbed version better, for some reason the original voice cast didn't really fit the characters. All in all its really a matter of preference I suppose. I'll watch either one its more like whats more available.
