Almost always sub. If the companies would hire people with actual voice acting talent I'd be OK with dub. I do like to hear the original anyway, and I pick up a few words here and there. But the horrible voice acting always throws me off dub.

Lol, but what if u were like the majority of us & weren't fluent in Japanese?

Don't blame us. Blame your parents and education system. :P

I still regret not taking Japanese in high school, even though it probably would've amounted to barely getting my feet wet.

I got on the anime train a little late and by the time I thought about it I'd already picked something else.

Dub all the way. Animation is a visual art form. I prefer to look at the animation rather than look at text in the bottom of the screen. I don't understand the people who claim the original actors are better when they can't even speak the language. How do you know? Like seriously someone answer this for me please.

For the subbers who claim intellectual superiority because you prefer to read, just stop. You're not smarter than anyone, just enjoy what you like and stop with the pretentiousness.

This would have been true in the 80's and early 90's but not so much anymore.

Subs because 9 times out of 10 they are much better

Some Dubs are good and a few are better imo than the original Japanese

I tend to stick to Subs mostly

Depends on if the dub's good or not. And whatever I watched first. For example, I like the Ouran dub better than the sub, because the dub is what I watched first, and what hooked me. But in the case of other animes, I like the sub the best because I watched the sub first and I don't find the dub to be as entertaining, and the voices seem weird to me compared to the Japanese.

A lot of anime, and most obviously, the new anime, from this season / the last few seasons, don't have dubs yet, and some will most likely never be dubbed, thus I can only watch them subbed.

Pretty much yeah. There's still some pretty bad dubs being produced, but the majority are pretty nice.

I used to be dubs over subs, but as i watched more subs i realized that emotions and feelings felt more "honest"...more "Genuine" when you watch it with the original audio track. Dubs sometimes sound plain forced...

I use to watch dub but then I found the wonderful world of online Anime. Sure you encounter a dub here and there but its rare. I dont have anything against dub , however I have encountered some dubs that have horrible voice actors (in my opinion ).

The first time I started scouring the internet was when I would miss episodes of Naruto/Bleach (I forget if Bleach was ever shown in the US as a DUB since its been so long) and I got tired of asking my friend to record it and burn discs , so I gave the internet a try.
