I prefer subbed. I tried watching dubbed animes but no the feeling is not the same. It's somehow kind of off.

Subs are so much better. I mean there are some dubs that since I initially watched them dubbed (like Ouran), I prefer them that way (if they were well done) since I'm used to it. But in general I find that the original Japanese versions are so much livelier and I love the ways things are expressed as opposed to how American voice actors would interpret it.

I like both sub and dub.
It depends what i watched the anime in first, if i watched a anime sub then i will most likely only like it in sub and if i watch a anime in dub i would sometimes only like it in dub or i switch from dub to sub on the same anime cause it doesnt matter like Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha, or Fairy Tail

I'd have to go with sub. Most anime I have seen dubbed, the voices just didn't sound right. Personal opinon, so don't be hating.

Personally i like dubs better but yeah if an anime wasn't dubbed or if it's an anime that really grabbed my interest
i'll watch it subbed with no complaints; bottom line is i have nothing major against either, both options got their ups n downs
so it's just a preference

I get what you're saying about prefering dubs you've seen first. If I see a quality dub first then I'll prefer it to subs. Basically whatever I see first their voices get set in my mind as the characters. Though if a dubs terrible and the acting sucks then I'll take to a sub easier.

Dubs over subs for me.

A good translation will never be better than the original but a good localization is. As long as it's not a Macekre, if it's a good dub, it's a good dub.

There's so many anime that I simply can't watch in Japanese even if I watched it in that tongue before.

I like both... it really depends on who does the voice acting.... I personally believe there is no other way to watch cowboy bebop in any other language than english... the actors nailed those characters so hard that when I tried listening to the subbed version I couldn't do it.... I also think Samurai Champloo is a great dub too... but many of the same voice actors are in it... sooooo

The only animes I have ever watched dubbed have been the ones on cartoon network and adult swim most of the time they are really awesome dubs, also shadow skill and some other anime like patlabar(sp?) used to come on Starz and I saw that dubbed as well along with desert punk and vandread. I find that the bigger the company sometimes they feel they can just get away with hiring big names and expect a dub to be good so my preference is always for the sub even if I am watching a dvd. But I do love dubs if they spark something in me or if its my first time seeing the anime.
