Hahaha, probably. Nature wants you to procreate. So that's a way of looking at it.

Most of my friends, family, and coworkers don't have kids, myself included. I like being independent and only having to take care of myself. The idea that I'd have to take care of someone for 18 years just boggles my mind. I don't even have pets. That's just me though. I don't have the motherly urges. When people look at pictures of babies and everyone makes random cutesy noises at them, I just look at it with no emotion, "oh look, a baby..."

Oh no not at all.
There is so much more to life then raising kids!
The purpose of life isnt makin' babies, but it's what you want it to be.
Even though I plan on having 4kids later in life. I want little mini mes! ah so adorable ^.^

I don't think it is pointless.. this is like saying a German's life is pointless without beer, or an American's life is pointless without Burger King. While almost all people that don't want children are extremely selfish, they aren't pointless. People should be able to have opinions.
I personally want children when I'm older.

This is a stupid thread.

You're asking if someone is worth anything if they don't procreate. Are all sterile people worthless? Should they be killed?

I wouldn't ever call myself a feminist since the rise of what I call 'the college feminist', but the fact that you specify women is insulting. Why would a woman without children be worth less than a man without children? Why do you consider fatherhood to be less than motherhood?

Timothy 2:12
Corinthians 11:3
Corinthians 14:34
Genesis 3:16

Apparently "God" says a woman has no say in the matter, so it's really up to her husband.

Agreed on this one. You're missing out if you don't have a cat.

Not everyone is fit to be a parent. You don't have to have children if you don't want to. Only when you are ready. so that means birth control methods should be applied.

Some woman are born with a want in life that is never fulfilled until they have children other woman are born with the will that their lives are complete even without children its called the mother gene. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/the-stir/mom-gene_b_1920399.html This is just one of many articles out there about this gene and I think it leads to the study itself.

I think the OP of this thread's point went straight over your head. At no point did they say anything about men or fatherhood, neither negative nor positive. There's nothing sexist about specifying women in the question; especially given the double standards about the subject. 'Is a woman’s life pointless without children?', 'Is a man’s life pointless without children?' and 'Is a anyone’s life pointless without children?' are questions that will all produce different answers.

It's already generally seen in society that it's fine for a man to get through life without ever having children if they so choose, yet women are still treated like their ambitions and wants are secondary to eventually giving birth. There's nothing stupid about sparking a discussion about that.

Idk it can go either way.. Yeah you'd go through life thinking about what the pain of giving birth is like... .-. But idk lol I want kids ^.^ that way when I get old I have someone to watch over me :3 so maybe it is pointless. But with or w.o kids I can still continue to live and do the things I want todo but I think with kids. You just enjoy it more or Atleast when they get older ^.^

So you really going to try to convince me this wouldn't make you want to have kids?
