I would want to look millions of years in the future, I'd be pretty bummed if I wasn't still alive though.

I'd rather wait and watch the progress for the future. Not worth jumping a few years forward just to see where I will be or what the world will be like.

I think I'd choose 1. I chose 1 because 2 would just end up being a teaser and would basically say, "Hey see this amazing thing that WON'T happen in your future? Its nice ain't it?" every day. 3 is tempting in the way of my personal desire to see my future since I hate uncertainty. The fact that 3 doesn't change anything in the end is a deterrent to me since I feel that knowing my own future would end up acting as a spoiler and life would lose some degree of thrill. It acts as a double edged blade since I may be prepared for the unfortunate, but I will also be informed of the great news ahead of hand. In my mind its like playing a game after reading up on the ending, it just loses that captivating essence of mystery in a way. ANYWAY, my vote goes for option 1 despite denying myself my greatest wish.

I'd like to say no, but my curious nature would go into overdrive and I wouldn't be able to stop myself.

1. Not do it at all

2. Or would you rather look into a future that would have happened if you have never looked into the future, so that future you looked into wouldn't have ever happened and therefore changed.

3. Or would you rather look into a future that will still be your future even after looking into it and what you will do to try to change or not try to change it will turn into that one that you looked in.

Sorry if this might not make sense for people

so basically what youre asking is:
1 are you afraid to know what would happen in the future?
2 do you believe in the world line thoery where every decision made creates an infinite number or parallel dimensions and knowing the future would send you to a different world line in response to your prior knowledge of an event
3 do you belive in fate where all of your decisions are predetermined and you simply walk the path until you die

thats what I get out of those questions correct me if im wrong though.

to answer: I'd pick 2 just because the world line theory at least gives you the illusion of free will.

There is a logical fallacy with this question of looking into the future.

Say I looked in the future and in that future I eat a cake at 6 o'clock, what if I consciously choose not to eat the cake? How did that future exists in the first place? And that would mean any future I look into can be changed by one simple action... therefore I wasn't looking into an accurate future in the first place.

I would, I want to see all the horrible things that would happen to me and my painful death.
If I knew what was going to happen, couldn't I just change it?

Again, the anime Texhnolyze.

Uh....... That is on a large scale?
I was talking about myself.......

Well it happened because of something small scale like your own future, that caused that.

You technically could tell your personal future in terms of when you will die and what diseases you will develop. You can purchase your own genome map for $5,000. They're extremely accurate. I know some people who've bought them.

One downside to its accuracy though is that there's a possibility you'll die of some disease when you're in persay, your 30's. Maybe that knowledge will be beneficial for all the YOLO freaks or it'll just make them depressed, who knows.
