I think I don't want to take a peak into the future because I fear what I'd see.

You would see nothing. Time is an expanding entropic arrow loosed at the "big bang". There is no future yet. It's why we can only remember one direction of time.

Nah. I want the future to remain a mystery.

Unlimited energy through a better nuclear fission, warp drives, traversing the galaxies.

We said many things wouldn't be possible. We'll say these won't be either. We said in your dreams. So they said that about space travel. And a few said that the earth was flat and you'd find it's edge.

Lesson: One day on the telly or interntz you'll hear mention of a successful warp drive. What are you gonna say then?

And I look forward to robots doing things for everyone so that we'd have a lot more free time. And global affluence so no one worries whether they can have such and such item let alone food.

Massive march onward with booming scientific discoveries and world justice.

I wouldn't want to look at all. If I saw something I liked, it would take the excitement out of it. If I saw something I didn't like, it would just be hanging over me like a Damocles sword until it happened.

Also, I wouldn't want to waste time looking at the future that never happened either.

I enjoy the fact that life is full of surprises and mystery (whether they be good or bad). I'd rather not be able to see what's coming.

We'll all wipe ourselves out because of nuclear war before we even think about Star Trek

I'd like to look into the future just so I can see if the world will still be worth conquering. Who knows what you damned humans will screw up next. I might just be wasting my time plotting world domination!

Nope, nay at all. Whatever happens happens.

I look into the future regularly, it's called planning. There is no written future, no world lines, and no destiny - religious or biological. The past is only memory. there are no distinguishable futures, and there is no present, since there isn't a time that can be pointed to as the present.

I would, I want to see all the horrible things that would happen to me and my painful death.
If I knew what was going to happen, couldn't I just change it?

Again, the anime Texhnolyze.

I read your first post too and it seems to me like the future become reality because Ran and ichise got involved and tried to change it causing in the dead of Ran and that made ichise kill everyone if the two of them just left it alone then the future would have been different Ran wouldn't have died and ichise not killing everyone.
Thats just me i haven't seen the anime Texhnolyze though.
