I thought a third cousin was a person that had the same great great grandparent(s) as you, and would usually be close to your age. Oh yeah, sorry I was thinking of third cousin three times removed. A couple month ago I learned a bit about family trees and got some terms confused. You can check the wikipedia article for it if you want.

But maybe I have to experience it to know for sure if I would still have the same feelings about the situation. It would get worse because the if the feelings you have for the person are genuine, they will never go away no matter how hard you try to deny them, and you will be in a constant state of unhappiness because your subconscious is telling you that you would be happier with that person. It is better to just embrace those feelings and love that special someone, regardless of their relation to you.

The only one I know that is my age threw a big honking rock at me last time I visited. Probably not though, not my cup of tea to date family. Kind of creepy in my honest opinion, but each to their own.

I believe that dating any family member is just down right creepy and wrong .I dunno that's just my opioin.

Third cousin barley has any gene related so if you have a baby, it will not become mutated. Although, you do get a slight percentage increasement of mutation than normal couples(5th-8th cousins). TL,DR: My third cousin is cute but I don't want to date her. End of story.

I am from a culture where family ties are really close, and it really really matters. I would never go out with a cousin. When I was in 6th grade a 3rd cousin confessed to me. He was handsome without a doubt, but hearing his confession gave me the creeps.
