I am curious to see how many here burn incense on a regular bases like i do.
I have a basic "alter" set up on my desk, a plate with a 4 stick circular holder set in the center of the plate.
I find myself once every couple of days burning Dragons Blood, Frankincense, Nao Champa, Sage, and a few others.
I find it makes the room relaxing, and smell pleasant. Some incense in my book works better then scented candles and has the added bonus of protection, luck, etc (if you believe in that sort of thing).
The only downside is if you burn it regularly you do have to dust off the surface you use it on.
I use stick incense, anyone here use cones or other alternatives?
I am pretty spiritual and heavily open-minded, so some of it is for that purpose.

I have some Japanese incense. It's very elegant, and does precisely nothing to keep Jesus and his many hallucinatory friends out of my world. Still, I enjoy it.

Only incense that gets burned where I live is from my mom trying to cover up the pot smell because she thinks the neighbors will judge her.

Sometimes, if I can ever get my hands on some. My parents refuse to let me buy incense because my room would always smelt like it and they were sick of it. It's really relaxing for me.

I hate incense, I have a really strong sense of smell so anything too overpowering makes me feel a bit nauseous.

Most strong scents give me a headache - incense, fires, cigarettes, perfume, etc. I try to avoid them if I'm relaxing.
I occasionally burn a vanilla candle for short periods, since it's such a mild scent, but that's just to freshen the air. I'm more likely to leave my patio door open so long as the weather is nice, however.

Every rare once in a while, I'll buy some at a local fair or something, and burn it when I want to smell something nice. And I can't help sniffing everything on sale before I decide what I want. xD
