Because it's fucking stupid. The world is able to support over 40 billion people.

But does the world really want or need that many people? My vote goes to no.

Does the world really need you? You can apply to same logic to youself. What happens if someones decides for you that you are unnecessary?

Oh yeah, and could you tell me what you know of schizo-affective disorder? I read that you have an interest in affective disorders, so I was wondering if you know much about it because I am interested. I've read a good deal on it, but I get the feeling that you might know a lot of things about it that I don't.

I have it by the way.

Not Amy, but I am a fan.

The way I understand schizoaffective disorder, it is a form of bipolar disorder that manifests with periodic psychotic breaks and often also bouts with major depressive disorder and/or manic states. A person with this disorder is likely to be treated with a combination of medications, for example Clozapine and lithium. Nicotine has been shown to work as an antipsychotic, as well as relieve symptoms of MDD, so people with schizoaffective disorder often self-medicate by smoking like chimneys. People being treated for this disorder should stay away from stimulant medications such as Ritalin, and definitely not do illegal amphetamines or cocaine.

There's a lot going on in schizoaffective disorder, and it is related to my research, but not the specific focus, so I am not an expert. I'll send you some articles regarding nicotine as an atypical antipsychotic.

Why cancer? Heart disease kills far more people than cancer. Infact, cancers about 10th on the list of mortality.

I'd settle for curing tuberculosis, or nosocomial C. Diff, or MRSA. Hell, I'd be thrilled if we could force 100% compliance with childhood vaccinations and get 80% herd immunity with the adult flu shot every year.

Of course the world doesn't need me. It doesn't need any humans at all. If someone decides to get rid of me then boohoo a few tears are shed from a couple family members(maybe) and the few online friends I have get confused as to where I went but never really find out the truth and above all else I win.

Spot on, the Earth and everyone on it are nothing but flotsam in the current of the universe. Our entire galaxy could vanish and the universe would not even take notice. What sick puppets we are what a gross stage we dance on what fun we have not knowing we are nothing. -John Doe-

If I had a choice of living forever, or making babies. I'd pick living forever.

Then, if at some point I got bored i'd have a kid and stop taking my immortality pills to make room.

Much of the modern world was thought impossible and it was assumed humanity would cease to exist a long time ago.

But every decade or so crazy new shit keeps being invented/implemented that keeps us alive.

That's interesting because after my first manic episode I started smoking because they allowed smoke breaks in the courtyard of the facility I was in. I've been smoking for three years since. I wonder if quitting would have any negative effects. Although I am taking antipsychotic and mood stabilization medications right now.

Maybe if there's one day a way to transfer memories and the self into an electronic device and use that to transfer that information into a new body. Being able to repair everything in a biological body indefinitely would be harder than just creating new bodies for a 'transplant' of some sort.

Then, again, the brain is very complicated.
