The College Conspiracy is the most comprehensive documentary ever produced about higher education in the U.S. The film exposes the facts and truth about America's college education system. It was was produced over a six-month period by NIA's team of expert Austrian economists with the help of thousands of NIA members who contributed their ideas and personal stories for the film. NIA believes the U.S. college education system is a scam that turns vulnerable young Americans into debt slaves for life.

You can avoid debt slavery if you have enough willpower. A non-materialistic person like me will never be held down by debt.

It is not a delusion when it does not affect you mentally, which is what I meant in my post.

Well your still young. So you think you know what life is like. It sounds like you havent been slapped into reality by life yet. "The wake up call" I like to call it. So let me help you to understand how it works. Purely hypothetical but happens all too often...

First you get into an accident. Could be just a simple fall down the stairs or a car accident. But you end up with huge hospital bills that isnt even the realm of you being able to pay on your own. Even with great insurance your still stuck.

First you try hard to pay them off. But new bills from the same accident keep coming in. Weeks and months later they just keep coming. And no insurance covers every single hospital, treatment, or doctor. Even the ones they do cover its only a percentage leaving you with the rest.

So for several months you have nothing. Your barely able to put food in your stomach because your throwing every single extra penny at the bills as they just keep piling up and up. Now if your lucky (or unlucky) you can file for bankruptcy. But that is not certain.

Eventually the hospital turns your rump over to a collection agency. Eventhough you have been sending every penny you can spare they still do it. So now you got a whole new barrel of fish. And again bills just keep coming in. You keep getting thrown over to more and different collection agencies.

Pretty soon your wages are being garnished. So now you have to work even longer with second and third jobs. If your lucky you live in a state where they cant just fire you. But they probably can and will. Because your employers dont want the hassle of wage garnishment. So now you get to look for a new job. This is when you find out that the collection agencies have messed with your credit rating and the best you can do is flipping burgars at a McDs or washing cars. Even if you have a good degree.

Eventually your rent payment is missed because of all this and your thrown to the curb. This is also when you find out that this credit rating crap keeps you from getting even a semi decent place.

Now your sleeping at a local jesus house and bathing in communal showers.... Standing on street corners holding cardboard signs. All because of one accident that may not have even been your fault....

Now tell me that shit wont mess with you mentally!!!!

LOL. I used to have a weak mind that would have been broken down by those events, but I have changed for the better. I have let go of all my innate fears, so none of those scenarios will ever phase me.

I was lucky enough to find a job in this crappy economy, but even making the good money that I do for someone my age my debt is still pretty staggering. If you add up student loans, car note, and credit card balances, I'm in debt for about 50K at the moment... HOORAY DEBT!!!!!

And I thought Ireland where 10,000 euro is considered serious student debt was bad.

Most of the world's education systems are like this. Most schools in the world are brainwashing centers.

Watch a short video on youtube called "the herd mentality" or something... School systems are stress centres as well, and not for releiving it

Compared to the price of tuition when our parents went to college, I definitely feel it's turned into a way of keeping the people down.

I've been telling my friends since I was a freshman in high school that college is not needed to succeed in life and that our society is different than what it was 10-20 years ago. I didn't go to college, instead I found a job that turned into a career rather than wasting 4+ years at a college getting a piece of paper worth nothing. Has no one seen the events of the Occupy movement? I can't count the amount of people I saw burn their degrees merely because they know it's useless to have.

All we need is a new system of teaching and it's really fucking easy. Internet schooling, plain and simple. You shouldn't ever have to pay for knowledge, which is why we have google.
