Does Marijuana Make You Violent?
Posted 2/13/13

How did you come to that conclusion?
Why are you being willfully ignorant?

How are you so blatantly pathetic when it comes to understanding things?

You posted alarmist, idiotic sources that are just parroting the regurgitated talking points of the anti-drug movement.

The third article you linked is almost complete filled with nonsensical bullshit.

1. I know people who get paranoid on weed, they have NEVER been aggressive in the least and I would love to see FACTUAL EVIDENCE of a pothead going on a "paranoid, insane" rampage. (lulz, never happened)

2. I know of NO withdrawal symptoms from pot, just mental withdrawal same as anyone who's addicted to anything. (computers, heroin, masturbating), THC is a depressant, which relaxes and calms your system.

3. Every time I smoked back in the day, I was always "ready for action". I also do not want children, nor does my wife so it's a moot point. Protip: no one is forcing you to smoke weed, so don't worry if you don't smoke.

4. Booze and cigarettes actually ARE more addictive than THC. There are more deaths attributed to these two than the entirety of weed smokers world wide. Smoke Inhalation IS bad, so that's the only validity I'm giving this bullshit article

5. You can smoke weed right out of the ground. You can pluck and dry it, and smoke it. Everything else listed (Heroin, alcohol, etc) need to be processed, cut, and synthesized to be consumed. (Well not shrooms)

Dr. Elizabeth Hartney is an alarmist dolt, I'm sure that she would say to avoid Dr. Pepper by all means because you can possibly "overdose on caffeine and die". She's posting WORST case scenarios that have never happened.

It's BULLSHIT!

this is straight from one of the websites linked at the top.

Each and every violent death in the the history of human’s existence can and has been directly linked to consumption of the cannabis sativa plant. The only way humans become violent and lust for blood is through smoking, snorting, injecting or eating marijuana.

I dont remember reading in the bible that everyone smoked a bowl before going off to the crusades to kill countless people because they didnt believe in their imaginary god. If the people of those websites realized that Religion has killed more people throughout history than every other cause combined! Then maybe we should be trying to outlaw that instead of weed.

You know what i think. People that are violent, like a gangster, school teacher, alcoholic, teenager, crooked cop. a hand full of them smoke/smoked marijuana and so idiots try there best to form these random hypothesis trying to find any small insignificant thing that enough of them have in common and BAM they think they've solved the case.
Smoking makes you calm, if you smoke anything and get violent then you were violent to begin with.
This thread is as smart as me saying "The sight of planes and bombs turns people into terrorist"........they were terrorist to begin with. The author of this thread isn't going to listen to anyone's opinion which makes me think he wrote those articles or something.

Weed isn't "good", nor is it "bad", that's like saying alcohol ONLY has negative effects, same for cigarettes. Too much of anything is bad for you, and very little of anything can be good for you. The health benefits of marijuana only go so far, but for it to have negative effects you have to smoke QUITE A LOT of it. I've never smoked weed because I can't find anyone who sells it in my country, also I don't have the money, but I would if I could.

Saying weed is bad is technically denying facts, no you're not wrong, but you're not right either. That's like me saying water is bad because guess what...

Too much of ANYTHING will kill you, even WATER.

"Mj makes people violent", I find that hypothesis absurd. Anyone who has any experience with that drug knows that after using it the user wants to do nothing except perhaps eat.

Most people smoke for recreation, it has some nominal medical uses such as helping cancer patients have an appetite, but it's banned by federal law from being used at all. As to earlier claims that it will help with mental illness, I'm skeptical. As far as preventing cancer I doubt it because mj smoke contains so many carcinogens.

IMO it's on par with alcohol, but if used regularly the long term affects are bad.

.... Weed make you violent?

Sounds like the old dying opinions are still spouting propaganda despite all the evidence against it, no weed doesn't make you violent, I don't really give a shit who says it does, expert or old school hippy, weed doesn't make you violent and that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Try it yourself, don't be a tool, you'll figure it out I'm sure.

no hahahaha it's just demonized in mainstream media to keep the big pharmaceutical companies making you spend so much on all these shitty pills when simple herbs do wonders. I also nearly died laughing on the 1st link oh my...

Why do you voluntarily use this drug for non-medical purposes?
appreciation of music, film, anime... anything you do becomes better, flow of thought is easier, things are funnier, relaxation.

Do you need to get high, or is this drug poisoning your mind and making you think that you need it?
do you need to care if people people smoke it or not? what's it to you? it's funny because weed is the opposite of a poison, it's not even slightly addictive, if you like it you keep doing it whenever you want.

Marijuana doenst make ME violent or anyone that I know. BUT Mary Jane isnt for everyone. Some people CAN possibly get a little crazy if they are really unstable. Ive seen it for myself but fortunately those people are far and few between. Most people just want to chill and laugh and eat all the snacks they can. For others it relieves pain, stress, and helps them go to sleep. It depends on what strain of indica or sativa youre smoking. As a survivor of cancer I can say that it helped me ALOT and it still does. It also depends on how you use it. Smoking is the crudest form and some people cant smoke because of an illness so they eat /drink it. Some people apply it to their skin in lotion form. Each high is different depending on alot of variables.

As far as addictive, you can become dependent on it but then again you can become dependent on anything. Thats the wonderful thing about addiction. There are so many, many, many things you can become addicted to outside of drugs. I think id rather be dependent on pot than something else that is potentially more harmful.
