The new cooking oils at fast food places are typically mixed with old rancid oils that still linger on the grills. Everything always has too much sodium. My parents said the same when they went there for a holiday. I'd say it's less to do with the food itself and more to do with portion size. And Canada is cold, so maybe some extra blubber is useful, it's good enough for walruses. Now I'm going off to have a horse burger.

If you have the money, buy your own ingredients and cook your own meal. My friend who is obese still eats pre-packaged burgers on a daily basis, even though he's incredibly affluent. :L
