I only have Facebook because certain friends. My phone is used to contact family and family friends only. I don't text my friends on my phone and I rarely message them on FB. I don't like talking to people every day, unless I see them in person on a daily basis.

It was ocassionly interesting when my friends and I were teens who didn't care about who saw what we put in our posts. I quit using it around the time I turned 20 when people stopped posting anything potentially embarrasing or hilarious. It got to the point where everything was just small talk stuff I hate hearing about. Its actually nice not having a Facebook because it means acquantences and people who I don't want in my life anymore can't cyber creep on me.

I'm not. I use it simply to keep in touch with friends, and sometimes get some good deals on some products I buy >_>.
But seriously, as a member of the military, it helps SO much keep in touch. Sure, there are ads and what not, but they really don't bother me like it does some folks.
I also have a Twitter, but I don't think I even open but once a month to check up some some video game news and video game music stuff.

Facebook helped me find my extended family (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) I only use it to see what they're up to and let them know what we're up to every once in a while. I mostly use it to get alerts for free apps and shopping sales/discounts. I'm an internet shopaholic.

I never liked it, but I joined because an acquaintance wanted me to join. I stayed for some of the pages I follow that talks about interesting information.

FB elaborates the parts of human nature we really don't want to see. Like there was this one friend who made a big public deal about how he was closing his fb account because he had a "difference of opinion with a wayward friend," and somehow that closing his current account and making a new one would make the friend see the light. And he wanted me to re-friend him on his new account. I don't like stupid drama like that. I don't think I've use it for over a year.

I was tired of facebook the first day i got it years ago the only time i ever went back since then was back in July to check out vacation pictures my friends posted since i never take my own pictures. I always thought Facebook was a bunch of hype and drama and never did care for it in the slightest.
