I think the purpose of urinals are to reduce the splash effects of when you pee standing, does anyone else constantly have to wipe their legs after peeing into a toilet, in know i do, idk may be im just weird , but, it seem to be a good reducer of the splash efffect, ouuuu a new term, the splash effects lols

I think a urinal would cause more splash effects than a toilet, due to the closer proximity.

although it is true that the proximity of the urinal would create splash effect, more splash effect comes from the waterof the toilet rather than the closeness to it

Anyone ever notice the Guys bathrooms are always smelly and all ghetto looking (broken mirrors, tp all over, piss on the floor..)

and all the Girls bathrooms are nice and clean and smell nice...

anyone ever notice that?...it's just...it's just...dam

That's my problem with the dudes bathroom, but whatever, it's cuz we're men.

My friend works as a Janitor and let me tell you the amount of time he had to clean it was always the girls restrooms that weren't clean at all. (This might be different depending on where you live) my friend told me that when he went to clean the restrooms the toilet seat had blood everywhere and feces all over the floor and walls he said it looked like a murder scene. And even his girlfriend confirmed this about the ladies restrooms as well. It's no different with women either. They said surprisingly it's worse with Women

I had no issues with Men's restrooms. Around here they are pretty damn spotless and no piss everywhere.

How many blokes actually sit down when they pee?
Also in answer to the question, we men tend to be messy, its not our fault, like one or two said we sometimes split streams. Also we do not want to be confronted by a crap sitting in the bowl. It is a little more cleaner to use, you do not have to take up cubical s that people that need to take a dump use, it gives toilets a flow and makes life easier really.

Others may or may not have mentioned this but at least for me if my bladder is particularly full sitting and peeing quite literally hurts, while standing does not.

Also, most toilet's hold the water somewhere around two feet up, which cause's a lot of splashing and while I can stand that in my own home, public is just to nasty for me.

haha xD, Yeah as some have said, it's quicker if you just gotta pee -.- The only downside to it is, that there isn't a lot of privacy there, it might get creepy if there are "lets say 6 urinals, you took the last one on the left, all the other's are free still, but then a random person comes in, and takes the one next to you... wtf xD" That's the only problem

Something's wrong with you, OP. I may be a misogynist, but at least i'm a well-informed one. This is like...what the hell are you even complaining about?

It is both more convenient and more comfortable to relieve oneself while standing; also, no kinks in the inside lines while standing, so easier and more complete emptying. That said, urinals almost always seem to have the most unfortunate odor, some foul thing that a toilet cannot produce unless just left chock-full on a hot, humid day. A clean urinal usually smells worse than a dirty (but empty) toilet. Go figure.

I think you're way off on this one. You clearly haven't shared a bathroom with men/man/boy(s). Urinals exist because they pee on the floor and can't get it all in the toilet unless they sit down, which they are unwilling to do because everyone else has been pissing all over the toilet (or worse).

I have two bathrooms in my condo. My son and cat share a bathroom because they are both disgusting and I can't stand the smell after a day or two.

Also, men don't care as much about privacy as you think, especially since they can hide most of it with their hands. It's not like they have to show their asses while they do it or anything.

Edit: Oh yeah, and my son wouldn't stop peeing out the front door until we moved to this condo (with a shared hallway). He was too lazy to walk another 30 feet to the back door, or 50 feet to the bathroom. This is not something I taught him, and from what I hear it's not uncommon, even in full-grown men.

As you're a woman, I'm not sure how I should feel about the amount of men you'd have to watch peeing to become such an expert on such a topic...

But, I guess my friends and I are oddities, because there's never piss on our bowls, unless someone got really wasted.

The urinals are, as everyone has been saying, for efficiency in all regards.

They take up less space, use less water, are quicker to use and don't require placing your posterior on uncertain real-estate.

Hope that's cleared some things up.

I don't think males worry about privacy too much when they're using a urinal, because they just want to use the washroom and get out. I doubt many men care if another guy sees their genitals or if they urinate sitting down. Urinals to me always seem like a quicker way to do your business, not a sign of masculinity. That's silly lol.

I do wonder do many men have a problem when this happen -

To be fair, sometimes these threads end up being mildly informative, or at the very least entertaining. So there's that.
