"Bad ideas are the best ideas"
Usually said before, as you might expect, doing something stupid. Or when encouraging someone else to do something stupid.
I think it's more generalised than the more common saying "bad decisions make the best memories", and has more meanings. Like, your brain has some reason to come up with bad ideas - the brain doesn't usually come up with actually terrible ideas, just ideas that are good at some other criterion, like being fun or cool. Also, by virtue of being less literally true, since it's a clear contradiction, it can serve as a bit of a reminder of the fact that the stupid thing really is actually a bad idea, even though it's going to be fun.
Also, "bad decisions make the best memories" isn't technically true if the decision involves getting hammered.
