People What are your favorite anime of the 2013, from all over the past what anime do like most? since?

I can't decipher the rest, sorry. I think some sacrifices to certain Elder Gods might be required here...or just a clarification post.

I am quite enjoying Kotoura - san, LoveLive! D.C.III And Vividred Operation but favorite is hard to tell at this point.

I have too many but recent and all time favorites include Macross, Madoka Magica, Plastic Little, Golgo 13, Tari Tari, School Days, Nazo no kanojo X, Mouretsu Space Pirates, Akira, Hotaru no Haka, Ghost in the Shell, ef - Tale of memories, Angel Beats to name too many...

Can't speak for the other two but yes, I am really 41. And yes, I list Madoka Magica as an alltime favorite... I say you can never be too old or manly to enjoy mahou shoujo anime

Second that notion. Love my mahou shoujos. Don't like all of them, but most of them I do.

These are my favorites so far Now go watch them.

The anime of 2013 are treating me well so far. i usually don't watch new anime until after they finished airing but now i've been following quite a few new titles this season. Like in 2012, the winter season has provided more than one good anime.

Oreshura - A harem with an unusual beginning. its always good to have a different kind of twist. Especially given how harem anime tend to be very predictable. For a start, our main character wants nothing to do with romance but gets blackmailed into a fake one by the school beauty. Like him, she doesn't want a relationship and shuns romance but is tired of being approached by boys and wants them to leave her alone if they think she's taken. i would already nominate her for biggest anime bitch of 2013. Unaware of the real situation, the childhood friend starts to compete vigourously for the guy's affections. I must say the art style in this anime is exquisite. I even mistook the show as something from Studio Shaft (really done by A-1 Pictures). It's that surreal.

Kotoura-san - I just started watching yesterday and was immediately hooked. For a romantic comedy, I can't think of another anime in the genre that can move one to tears. Just watch the first episode. The entire first half tells her tragic backstory and its exactly what gets you to watch more. You want to see her finally get happiness. This anime has been very well recieved by audiences and is the one I highly recommend.

Maoyu - This was the first anime from this season that caught my attention. This one also has beautiful art. As everyone says, the premise is remniscent of Spice and Wolf (it even has the same actors) but i find it far from being a rip off. The concept of trying to find a peaceful end to a long war always provide a good story in my opinion.

Yep. Star Blazers (Space Battleship Yamato) was my first anime I watched in the 70s, and I've been watching anime ever since.

Mines are Oreshura (Some scenes I found are fun), and Vividred Operaltion (Because It's downright ridiculous like the anime just made fun of itself)
