Lets all go a step further and bare ass! I for one believe clothes should be for pleasure, or to keep your nips from falling off in sub zero tempetures. if you try and cover your naked body out of shame, prepare to be free!

Avarice for Emperor.

The fact that it's okay for men to have their nips out whenever they feel like, but women are shamed for it even when they have a legitimate purpose baffles me. If they have to regulate this kind of thing, at least make it fair. No one can be topless or everyone can be topless; I'd rather the latter.

The only issue I have with the idea of women being free to go topless is that it will inevitably fuel more victim blaming bullshit. 'It's not my fault I sexually assaulted someone, she had her boobs out' etc.. But, considering there's already a ton of that going on, regardless of what is worn, I doubt it would even make that much difference.

So the U.S. spends their time worrying about covering titties than trying to fix the economy? Outrageous!!!!

" I want to respect someone confident in their beliefs, someone who does what they feel right and what makes them happy. So long as they are not hurting someone else, I will support them."

That is nice for you but I beg to differ. Do you feel that women being topless really is not hurting someone? Some people feel that what others are doing whether they are confident in their beliefs or makes it them happy affects and hurt other people who disapprove which cause tensions and hostility among different groups. It is good to be idealistic and want people to be happy but that is not how the world works or thinks.

No, I do not believe it hurts anyone. People acting hostile to things they do not like does not make the thing they do not like hurtful, it makes people hurtful. A topless man never hurt anyone, what makes a topless female any different? Honestly.
I believe the greatest route to a peaceful world is learning tolerance. To tolerate people, and what makes them happy. It's a simple minded belief, sure, but you couldn't possibly tell me it's a bad way of thinking; bad to think the world requires tolerance, I mean.

I'm totally with you there. When I think about it, I can't help being hostile towards total strangers that talk to me on the bus ride to work. I don't want to hear about your political views, or the girlfriend that left you while I'm riding to work, and doing so makes me angry and brings up depressing topics. Since it is a hurtful action to me, and causes tension between groups of people, I propose we outlaw strangers mingling on buses -- it's simply immoral to subject me to that sort of treatment, as I am unable to control my hostility toward these people. Things like reason and understanding are balderdash when you can just outlaw anything that might be distressing, so yeah, I'm all for this law as long as they add the stipulation that, in addition, mingling on buses also be outlawed.

My opinion is that your opinion sucks. Go ahead and stand by it, but don't try to push it on me or my family. If you think women should be a certain way, that's just fine - go ahead and be whatever. But involving me in your lifestyle choices is crossing the line. I don't tell you what to wear, what church to go to, how to vote, how to think, or how to behave. You have no right to tell me, or any other person, how conservatively we should dress or how much cleavage we can show. My breasts are mine and what I do with them is none of your business.

I feel that criminalizing a part of the human body might be a step in the wrong direction.
Nothing can change the fact that's it's your body and last time I checked we live in a era where you have the right to do whatever they heck you want with your body, as long as it doesn't cause physical harm to anyone else.

I'm not a fan of topless people, either male or female, but that's because I don't think the human body is beautiful, I think it's creepy. But I'm not going to take away anyone's fucking right to be topless, it's their body.
There's a place for everything. If you're topless at the beach, please go on; why would you otherwise go to the beach? That's the place for topless.
But if you're eating in a restaurant, please, put a shirt on....

Honestly, I've never seen someone be topless in public, at least in the US. Until now, I thought it was illegal to walk around in public topless (like all public nudity).

There was this time on vacation in Cancun when some tourist woman from the adult beach resort next to ours was strutting around the beach topless (and boy, how I wanted her to put on a top.... some things cannot be unseen)

A bit of breast exposure isn't bad, but really, some people just shouldn't expose their entire naked top half to the world.

I'm a girl myself, but if I ever walk around without clothes, it's in the privacy of my own residence & NOT IN PUBLIC. The sheer idea of being naked in public, even semi naked, sounds humiliating to me.

In a way, I'm 'nay' to the law, if it forbids even the smallest amount of exposure, but I'm also 'yay' because it will prevent people from distracting / disturbing / annoying others who don't want to see naked boobs.
