Science says that if you get more then 7 hours of sleep you have a chance of randomly dieing, and if you get less then that you have a chance of dieing of a heart attack or the other way around can't remember but gl dudes who sleep longer then 7 hours lol. Me personally I sleep like my ancestors sleep for 3 hours and then usually up in the middle of the night doing things and then going back to sleep for another four hours, this way of sleeping is actually proper. The people who beleive they have sleeping problems when they wake up in the middle of the night are just experiencing what our ancestors had to do before us when nights were longer. And also doing adult things during that time is said to be the best for getting pregnant and other things. Knowledge.

Yes on many occasions I have slept for more than 24 hours. I only did this in college when I was working 3 jobs, going to school full time and partying full time. Sometimes I would stay up for 3 or 4 days at a time and then sleep / coma for 24 hours or more. It's really hard on your body but hey it was college and I had a great time.

Does drinking a lot of pop count as drugs?

Were you taking drugs? There should be no way regardless of how long you stay up to sleep a whole 24 hours without waking up once.

Actually you have a point. I have slept for over 24 hours but I always woke up at least briefly or to use the bathroom.

I've stayed awake multiple times for about 48 hours (hate pulling all-nighters) and the most I've ever slept was about 23 hours after coming back from Germany one time and another time when I had an appendicitis.

There's a teenage boy with a sleep disorder who sleeps for 5 days, wakes up for about 8 hours, then sleeps for another 5 days. He's sleeping his life away and there's very little he can do about it.

There's another guy who hasn't slept in 35 years. In his case several times a day his brain, uh, disconnects? I guess that's the best way to put it but he's awake but his brain sort of fries itself for a few minutes and he continues on his way. It's how his brain keeps from going into complete meltdown and sending him to the loony bin which is what would happen to pretty much anyone else. He's the subject of a lot of sleep studies.

Not to my knowledge. Of course, I rarely pay attention to the date anyway, so it's entirely possible I woke up after sleeping 24 hours, looked at the calender, and said, "oh, it's Thursday today," and then carried on with my life. Why not? With sleep-walking, and the fact that people can unknowingly sleep with their eyes open, it's possible I've gone to work sleeping (sentience is optional at my job). Of course, once co-workers start to realize that rather than my normal lying bullshit, I've just begun to speak nonsense, they might start to catch on. I wonder if they'd stop me? Maybe I should start regularly making nonsensical statements to throw them off my trail. Quite a thought-provoking question OP has proposed.

Slept for over 20 hours before but I did wake up in-between and fell asleep again.

It's more likely that you were in a coma than asleep.
