Other than the light novel's starting back up, I haven't heard anything. There is a trailer on youtube showing the new artists art style.

Also. In my opinion, I don't think IS is getting a second season (Probably bacause Ii looked at the Spring 2013 chart)

I was disappointed in IS, anyway. it needed to focus more on the IS combat and less on the harem. the only interesting girl in the group was Charl, anyway.

I highly doubt it will get a second season unless the manga does very well. It's just one those not "bad" but not "good" either shows which usual linger in limbo. But who knows worse has gotten second seasons.

It sold VERY well with blu ray sales and had good ratings, so it will probably have a second season one of these days. IS was one of those shows that was so bad it became amazing. Definitely a great guilty pleasure.

I actually enjoyed it. Though the series left many questions unanswered for me. I believe either 3 things will happen. Either a season 2 is green light which takes a heavier focus on the combat/plot from the novels. Or it will do a filler/break away from manga/novels with it's own story. Or it will not have a season 2 at all.
I felt the dub was far better than my expectations, because they went with accents over well known voice actors/actresses. Ultimately it's wether or not it'll follow the story faithfully and/or it will focus more on the action.
