It could be that companies are waiting for Bandai's license to expire. I wouldn't call it "unlikely" just yet. It takes time to license a show.

That's unlikely. As I recall, there was an official announcement that the contracts for Nichijou, Gosick and Turn A Gundam were canceled when Bandai Ent. started the shuttering process.

My Ordinary Life has the most Japanese humour I've ever seen, so with that in mind, it might be hard to sell to the casual western audience. I mean, I liked it, but there were a bunch of times where I didn't get the joke, and I often felt like it was because I'm not Japanese.

Not nearly as bad as any of Kouji Kumeta's works. Joshiraku was even more difficult for a non-Japanese audience than Zetsubou-sensei.

I can't stand Zetsubou-Sensei... T-T

And don't worry, guys! >=D

If I ever win the lottery, I'll buy Nichijou's license and you can all be English voice actors! >=3

...But, y'know, I have to win the lottery first. ._.

Nichijou is indeed an excellent comedy series, and it's a real shame that the US license has still not been picked up following Bandai Entertainment's demise. If you have a region-free DVD player, you can still import the Australian release by Madman Entertainment, which is what i'm planning to do.
