^ think of it this way, the way society perceived homosexual relationships is different than today. If today it was taboo, in the past it was promoted. Societies change, views changed, that's the reality.

So don't be so quick to judge them and say they were "gay". Gay is a new invention that represents a certain "awkward" nature of sexuality. I honestly have nothing against homosexuality, but the practice is a bit strange, in the "functional" sense (they can't bear children)... but all else said, they *do* love each other...

Well I'm not saying it's a bad thing. I guess I shouldn't have said "gay" but that's how my friend stated it. I'm sure it's totally normal in ancient times, but I never knew about it, so I wanted to make sure she was right.

I don't believe it because Spartans were also mated with a partner young. But then again I kinda agree with the guy above me.

The Aesthetics of Food. My brother took it. They quoted Kant.

Err, just to stay on topic, the motto of the Greek navy was "Never leave your buddies behind"

I know but Jay's post wasn't nearly as hateful as I thought it would be.

Oh and to stay on topic I somehow don't find it all that shocking, considering a lot of the stuff that is covered up and hidden through out history.
