Spice and Wolf is the first thing that popped into my head. Reccomend it to any and everyone! Honestly its just a cute show really.
I seen Medaka Box on another page and yess fell in love with that.
Gundam SEED Destiny actually took me by surprise for some reason. The character involvement was new to me for some reason and refreshing. Great classic mech series

after having Katanagatari on my watch list for.. a long time, I finally started watching it. it's amazing so far.

Is that one similar to the series like Bakemonogatari? I've not hear of that one if it is.

was written by the same guy, but it's not entirely similar. it takes place in the early-mid 1600's and revolves around the 2 main characters traveling around Japan to collect 12 swords.

I'm FINALLY getting around to Code Geass. So far I like it enough, but there's far too much dicking around in high school for my taste. I assume this will get better once the plot really kicks in. Still, bit of a slow start.

Kimi ni Todoke - I'm watching now and I'm really enjoying it.

Yeah, I really liked that one too, but there was one thing that kinda bothered me about it, but I don't want to say yet since it might ruin it for you, or any other people that haven't watched it yet.

Now as for recent stuff that I've seen this year that have been out for a few years, and really stood out to me, I'd name just 2... Mushi-uta and Xam'd. I actually didn't have too high of expectations for both of these, but they both took me by surprise, especially Xam'd, which is prolly my favorite, or one of my favorite 26 ep series. Many people seem to compare Xam'd with Eureka 7, which kinda makes me want to watch that one too perhaps 1 day.

You should definitely get on Eureka 7, I saw both Eureka and Xam'd and Eureka is leagues better. Although Xam'd is damn fine as well.

I actually liked Xam'd a lot better than Eureka 7, but there was like a 25 episode difference so Eureka 7 got to cover a lot more. I bet if Xam'd was actually developed more it could have been a really big hit.

But yeah I came on here to recommend you Xam'd and Ergo Proxy :P

The one anime that I "discovered" recently that I really enjoyed was Shinsekai Yori. Damn that was a good anime.
