I feel fine where I'm at. I admit I've had fantasies of other times.
But a lot of those fantasies have been romanticized by fiction - as a woman in many cultures a 100+ years ago I'd have been treated as an inferior thing often considered naive and not understanding of how the world works.

No I kinda think if I had to be born then the time I was born in was a pretty good time to be born, it might change when some awesome new technologies come out and then I'll think "I wish I was younger so I could enjoy that for longer".

With medicine and a whole load of other advancements I'd say there has never been a better time to be alive then now.
But I sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have lived in blitz-era England, where I could help fight against Nazi's and there would be no computers to distract me,less cars and not too backward medically and when women could do loads of war-work. I could have been blown to bits in a bomb blast or crushed under rubble in the tube. Doing something useful I suppose.

I'd love to have been born in the late 19th century. Back before Kurt Godel and all those other smarty pants ripped the foundation out from under everything. Back when we still believed in SCIENCE! as a savior, and that the world continuing to get better was the natural course of things.
