What do you put off, and for how long?

I'm dragging. I have to do a power point, and apparently I hate power point. I'm more than 2 weeks overdue, and the situation ain't getting any better. I've got plenty of other work done, but any time I try to work on this stupid power point, I find myself doing other things... such as posting on CR about how I don't want to do my power point.

Sigh.

LOL! I can't believe you asked that question! I've been a lifelong procrastinator myself... So what do I put off? EVERYTHING... For how long? As long as I possibly can... What's your powerpoint on, if you don't mind keeping you distracted from what you totally SHOULD be doing?

Team roadmap for the next 12-18 months. I run a small dev team (2 devs, 3 if you count me; 2 sysadmins) attached to network operations. It's going to higher for goal setting, etc. Been too busy doing -work- to complete the powerpoint, that and I hate power point. If I was asked for a list, or a doc, or something else it'd be done already. Well, probably.

Also, why stop procrastinating today when you could do it tomorrow instead?

I stopped procrastinating in '07. It took me 30 years to get to that point! HA!

Lol, that's not THAT bad, is it? And very true... If we weren't meant to procrastinate, why'd they make a snooze button?

Well, sure, it's all well and good until powerpoint sucks your soul and leaves you a burnt out husk sitting in a chair.

I think it's because I can't decide how to best present the information. I've done it in person a number of times, drawn the occasional whiteboard. The team knows what we're working on, just making it outside-friendly, in a powerpoint... sigh.

My career. Unfortunatly im not allowed to be a profesional monster/demon/abomination so im forced to choose a slightly more boring path. Thankfully i bought a graphics tablet so maybe now ill practice my arts, if any. I always postpone finishing certain series, this is somewhat intentinal becouse if i never finish a book/tv show/dream it leaves a whole world open to imagination, my greatest treasure.

Chores. ...but usually not for long, eventually somebody runs out of underwear or company comes....that's when I have to kick it into high gear.....but I like that, 'cause then everyone is forced to help me instead of me doing most of it on my own,

Homework. Ive been that way since High School. I know how to do it. It just seems WAY more tedious than...well...everything else. Whats stupid is that I'll bust a big project out in no time and I'll get it done early. Homework is like a 30min scramble the night or day before. Whats worse is that I feel accomplished every time I finish it that way.

I put off everything for as long as my weaseling ass is allowed. BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDD procrastinator here. I'd make a professional slacker look like shit.

I'm kind of struggling high school right now. Senior year, and I'm so backed into a shithole that it'll take a miracle to graduate. I'm Harvard material. But what's commonly said is, I don't apply myself. Meaning when I have my final English essay due on Hamlet tomorrow, I'm sitting here passing the time. I am so screwed tomorrow, when the home tutor comes, I'll probably just give him a half-assed draft.

I procrastinate and put stuff off all the time. Even in class when I can actually make a cheat sheet for my tests, I'm too lazy to do so or even finish my homework in class. I stay up late and barely sleep trying to finish stuff at the last moment. Right now, I'm supposed to be finishing my math homework for tomorrow, but I'm giving up. I've actually witness multiple occasions where procrastinating worked out in favor of the procrastinators.
