Anyone getting extremely annoyed by them??

That last story arc was sooooo good and then they went back to the freaking reruns. I'm so angry.

I quite like the re-runs. Presumably, if you're watching it now, then you like what you've seen so far, and if you like what you've seen so far, then you ought to like some of the better choices of what you've seen so far. The way I see it, the producers would rather evoke nostalgia then a fan-base that bitches about fillers. I mean, there's not enough source material to make episodes every week, so you're left with 3 choices:

1. Filler -- nearly universally hated, and is generally not very good. Sometimes it is, but it's generally below par.
2. Go off the air for a bit -- pretty neutral. There's no change.
3. Re-runs -- Exactly the same as #2, except you get to watch some of the better episodes of Gintama rather than nothing.

I feel like #3 is superior unless you can pull off the rare "good filler." Either way, I'm not sure why anyone would be angry about watching episodes they already like. Unlike filler, you already know what happens, so if you don't like it, you can skip it without missing anything.

I don't know, I feel like it's difficult to argue that the episodes aren't any good, which is the main argument against fillers -- they air them because most people liked the episodes when they originally aired. So basically, you're angry that there's not enough material, in which case you're angry that Sorachi Hideaki doesn't have a superhuman constitution and god-like creative ability, which I think is a slightly demanding. If it helps, they are working on a (probably) completely awesome movie right now though.

Re-runs are better than nothing. However I don't see why Crunchyroll would show re-runs when we can watch the episodes ourselves since crunchyroll have all the episodes up to date. I just find it annoying having to go through recycled episodes when I'm on season 6 and I just don't like the unnecessary clutter on the episode list when it is essentially a duplicate of an older episode.

Fair enough. I can see the argument for having the re-runs, but Crunchyroll not airing them. I'll accept that -- after all, CR has those episodes anyway. From a personal standpoint, I kind of like being reminded of episodes I'd forgotten about, and the blurbs at the end with movie announcements are kind of cool too. Plus, I get to hear the awesome theme music for more than a few episodes. Is all of that worth CR spending money on? Maybe not -- I might agree with that, and I definitely agree that after I've watched it, it's sort of just taking up space needlessly. So, I'll agree that it's probably a waste for Crunchyroll to air them, rather than just say "see you in a few weeks," but now that they do air them, I kind of enjoy the perks.
