How generic can you get? Naruto isn't dumb in shippuden given how much he's changed now at this war. If you mean Naruto in part 1 sure I'll agree with you on that. As for in shippuden I'd have to disagree if you did mean Naruto in the past.

Oh! I'm sooo sorry for not being specific.. it's suppose to be naruto before the shippuden cause naruto in shippuden isn't as dumb when he was 12..
