I used to get them every month, but now only a couple of times a year. I had considered shooting myself (joke) but didn't because of the loud noise. The one thing that seems to work for me is caffeine., supposedly not something good for migraines, but works (sometimes) for me. I can really feel sorry for people that get them all the time.

I've heard caffeine actually helps migraines. Both my mom and myself drink a soda when we know migraines are coming, and my mom rarely consumes caffeine.

Yes, over a decade ago neuroscientists discovered that caffeine helped to constrict blood vessels which could relieve the pain for some migraine sufferers. A change in a person's caffeine intake can also effect migraine problems. Have known Mountain Dew fiends who stopped downing their usual 2-4 Lts. per day only to start suffering migraines.

[b]I get headaches all the time but every now and then they get really bad. I can feel them coming, first it starts out with a pain in the back of my head then it goes to my temples and forehead, its gets so bad that i cant move my head or open my eyes. They usually last for days and nothing i take seem to help, i think its because i get them so often that I'm always taking OTC pain killers for them. Nothing helps with them at all.

Does anyone else experience headaches like this?

That's really scary you went through that. Only time I've had painful headaches were when I was stressed out from thinking more than I should on a situation or sleeping more than 8 hours. I don't have any more of those headaches thank God, but I still do have bad headaches when I sleep too long. c.c

I don't usually get migraines, but when I do. They are so bad. I have to seclude myself in my closet under a blanket with some coffee or something caffeinated. The slightest noise will cause my head to pound. I just sleep it off.

My headaches are usually from my withdrawals of caffeine. Yup. I'm addicted.

I would get them when under a lot of stress. Same sensitivity to light and sound deal, that's typical of a migraine. At one point at around 19 years old I was getting 3-4 a week and was put on meds for them which helped. I eventually got off of it when I was less stressed and was okay. I found that sleeping with an eye mask helped a lot for some reason and I still do. It also helps me sleep more soundly

as a teenager, I used to get really bad migraines out of no where.
1. getting blind in one eye, ( I have no idea how to describe it ) then the weird thing that caused the blindness would move to my other eye.
2. extreme headache.
3. after hours of having the migraine, I'd vomit seen starts all around me.
4. still have a headache, but it wouldn't feel so bad.

as I got older I don't vomit any more for some weird reason, but I'd still get occasional migraines that still causes the blindness and won't leave for hours.
