Not gonna lie, I didn't read all of the theory due to the warning of spoilers. I stopped watching One Piece near the end of the Fishman island arc so I could build up like 50 episodes to watch of one piece whenever the new episodes I haven't watched hit that number. So I don't know if the spoilers refer to the current story arc of the anime or manga. I will say this though that after watching One Piece I felt like all the hype for it was deserved. The first few episodes were slow but once it hit the arc where Nami saved her hometown from Arlong I've been hooked ever since. It's just gotten better from there as well. This show seriously has so much more depth and story to it then I originally thought it would.

Btw just a little question: how far ahead of the anime is the manga? I know the anime is at the Punk Hazzard arc now I think?

If I remember correctly this theory does not include spoilers from the Punk Hazard arc. If you've watched till the FI arc you already know everything that is discussed in this theory.

The manga is about 39 chapters ahead of the anime. Punk Hazard arc has just finished in the manga.

I've never been one to speculate about One Piece, only on straight-forward shows like Bleach or Fairy Tail. This theory is great though! Even if it doesn't happen exactly like this, you seem to be pretty much on the mark! Thanks for posting this!

Sweet! Then I can actually read the theory lol. Holy crap tho! The anime seems like it's so close to the manga or maybe Punk Hazzard will take 100 episodes to animate. Or they gonna have to do like a whole year of fillers to let the manga get further along or something?

Edit: And just read the entire theory. it sounds very, very plausible and seems like the only explanation for what/where 'All Blue' is because after thousands of years of pirate sailing the seas and no one has found it yet?!?!?! That's what always bugged me about All Blue. After reading the theory though it seems very likely. If this wasn't One Piece I would say usually the 'theories' we fans try to form always turn out to be wayyyy more epic than what actually happens. But knowing One Piece it is sure to be even more epic than the theories hehe.

I don't think they'll do full filler episodes or arcs. They've been animating 1 chapter per episode since the Marineford arc so they already have 39 episodes left of Punk Hazard. They've been adding filler scenes in canon materials because sometimes the chapters are fast paced so they have to stretch out things to make a 20 minute episode. Sometimes they do a good job, but other times they kinda ruin things and the episode will be slow paced.

Dang, it still seems like they are coming in wayyyy too close on the manga. Also, I don't read manga for this exact reason^ like how you said they add non canon events into an episode and it's slow paced. I view manga and anime like when novels are converted into film. Things always get lost in the process and no matter how good the film is you're always constantly comparing it to the source material. Like in the case where I read Harry Potter. I hated all the films because after reading the books the films just seemed so off. I like anime so much I don't want to ruin them from reading manga if that makes sense?

I know what you mean and that's exactly how I feel. Even though I still love the anime, the manga is 10 times better IMO because it's the original story. The way Oda wanted it to be.

We can't deny that anime fillers in OP (with the exception of G-8, that was good filler) are bad. Especially the first one (Apis arc) made 3 plot holes. 1- Zoro sliced steel when he wasn't supposed to be able to cut through steel until the Alabasta arc. 2- Zoro said to Ryuma in Thriller Bark that he doesn't believe in dragons, but the Strawhats have seen dragons in the Apis arc. 3- The third plot hole that this horrible filler arc made is at the beginning of the Punk Hazard arc. I won't say what it is, but it is noticeable, at least for me because I hated that filler arc.
Let's just wait and see if there are going to be more plot holes because of fillers

Yeah, I just can't ruin the anime I love with the even better manga versions (original). I learned my lesson a long time ago. So it would be really hard to sit through One Piece anime if I read the manga. And oh my gosh after reading your plot hole list I totally just realized those plot holes were there. That dragon filler arc was pretty terrible too. I think the most over-hyped filler that a lot of people enjoyed that I didn't was Rainbow Mist. I think that's what it was called. it was the one that dealt with that different dimension and time travel or something. it had a awesome twist at the end but it just wasn't that enjoyable to me. G-8 really was the only one that actually seemed good and what made it even better is that it actually felt like it was canon to me. Not sure what plot hole you're talking about with Punk Hazard since i didn't watch it, but I'm definitely gonna come back to the thread after I watch the new episodes and ask about it. I seriously think animes should just take a break for a few months or something instead of plugging in crappy fillers. I don't see the harm in it. If it's a good filler though I don't mind.

I'm actually in favor of anime series taking a break rather than making fillers. Just like manga series. Oda took a month break before the time skip, and I believe Kishimito took about a month break before the Naruto time skip happened. However, anime companies want that money.

I don't feel like searching for the One Piece thread so I'll say this here.

Chapter 700 is probably one of the best chapters of One Piece. So many information revealed. Basically Oda told us what can we expect in the next probably 5 or more years and I love that Oda is hyping all of those things from now. Also that big plot twist at the end was jaw dropping.
The big 7 0 0 really was a big chapter. I'm falling in love with this series all over again (not that I stopped loving it )

It's getting much more interesting now!

Buggy, Ace's devil fruit, new warlord that hasn't been mentioned yet, the heartseat...

OMG.....

Nooooooooo he isn't just go look up threads discussing this and it will show why not xD
and this theory.... seems extremely plausible, But since it was 100% theory just loosely piecing together the facts i can't stand next to it, i mean sure Roger had his illness, but what of his crew?, Though it would make sense for the onepiece to be this, Roger loved the world and the freedom of the seas, so having all the seas combined, and government abolished, everyone would have been granted the freedom he had

Zookid - Sabo Is with dragon. They show it in the manga and the anime. Dragon picks him up and puts him on his ship.

And Roger's crew is scatter around the world? Haven't we met about 2 or 3 people so far?
