CR recently discontinued all previous individual manufacturer-specific Smart TV apps, including Visio, Samsung, Google, etc, except for the 5 current manufacturers who license and use the Roku stick technology built in to their TVs as their smart OS: Haier, Hisense, Sharp, TCL, Insignia.

And of those, the recent update to the Roku app reportedly does not (currently) work on at least one TCL model for one person, but it does OK on my Insignia, with only a minor glitch not returning to the menu after a show completes sometimes, but that doesn't prevent me from being able to use it.

Any chance this will change? I would really love to have a CR app on my LG smart tv.

There is a way to watch Crunchyroll on LG smart TV.

Buy Asus TS10 (USB stick with Windows 10) and stick it into the USB port. Install google chrome and then watch it from there. We just tried this with our LG TV and it works!

Thats actually pretty great suggestion (I think you ment HDMI port and not USB)!

This works for any tv (not just smart) with a HDMI connection.
And works with anything that can run on windows 10 (limited by hardware specs).

I am gonna see which pc-on-a-stick works best for me.

Cheaper and easier to get a Roku stick or a Chromecast... Unless you really want another PC to maintain updates on.

Well compared to Netflix is terrible that CR does not have its own app.

Netflix has so many subscribers compared to CR that if only 1% of their subscribers used a device, that would be almost as many people as CR has subscribers. Put another way, platforms that make economic sense for Netflix to support don't necessarily make economic sense for far smaller services.
