To be unbiased, the only way is to be completely apathetic to everything.
This includes being alive, or taking any action in sustaining life. So as far as i'm concerned, it is impossible.

Another way is to not learn anything, because learning = bias. But if a person were to be raised in an environment to learn nothing (or a bubble) they'd inevitably learn to develop biases anyways. So again, impossible.

I think you can be unbiased. When you're not emotionally involved in the arguments and both sides seem like they have good reasonable thing to say.

You've adopted a bias by trying to be unbiased.Sort of like denying denial.

I'm being fair. If I judge people I have no rights to complain that they judge me. Personally I hate people who are judgemental. I bet many does. Before I know it I'm judgemental as well. I'm human too...

I try let people be themselves rather than think they should fit any preset categories I might think of. Makes life easier to just let (insert name here) be (insert same name here).

Labels have a way of sticking, but people change over time.

I see it all around me as well, people being biased all the time.

I believe that someone like Jesus was unbiased because he wasn't selfish, he didn't think about himself, he didn't think about his feelings. He saw others first before himself. In other words, to be completely unbiased you must be completely perfect so I don't think it is possible but you could be a little bit of both. I know sometimes I'm unbiased but most of the time I'm biased.

I think being unbiased is stating facts that everyone agrees on.
Like the maths equation 1 + 1 = 2 unless proven to be wrong somehow, i think it's an unbiased answer.
Unless i got the term completely wrong, and being biased is having opinion.
Usually it's just a view point on something.

"biased unfairly prejudiced for or against someone or something."

"unbiased showing no prejudice for or against something; impartial."

"unfair not based on or behaving according to the principles of equality and justice."

They don't look like opposites

It's better to be unbiased is as many situations as possible. To become unbiased you just have to focus on the facts and rationalize everything until there is no emotion left in the topic. It's better to not have biased thoughts but if someone has biased thoughts but unbiased actions then I'd consider them unbiased.

I've met lots of people who consider themselves unbiased - usually they're the worst offenders.
