Is anyone else excited to try this game. I have been hoping to get into the ps3 beta which supposedly starts today if im not mistaken. Has anyone got a beta code yet? i was thinking that Aincrad and Eorzea (final fantasy xiv) were similar and i would love to be dragged away to that world.

I hope the PS3 version gets more love on this site. I'd love to find some people to go out and quest with!

I've yet to get the game, but a fellow coworker at my local GameStop picked it up at our (rather quiet) midnight release, and he said it's everything he wanted it to be. It holds up well on the PS3, and Square Enix really delivered on fixing and improving upon their last endeavor.

Seriously, I hope it gains speed. Being in a guild with fellow Otaku would make for a rather interesting MMO experience

Don't know if you're aware, but the PS3 players and the PC players are on the same servers, so as long as they have the game, you can join the same server and play with them.

I've been playing for the last few days, and it is a lot of fun, though the login issues have been a problem. That'll probably work itself out in a few days, though. If you (or anyone else) want to join up in-game, just PM me; I have a character on Goblin and another on Durandal.

Yeah, I actually wasn't aware of that until earlier today! lol. After finishing Oreimo, I really want an Otaku club/group to do fun things with! :3 (I have a few friends... But it's a small town /: )

I realize a launch of a new game comes with some hiccups... I didnt pay for hiccups. There is no reason for server size issues. You had reports of how many pre-order copies you got. You had how long of a beta test launch? You had months to get this right and now that I have bought (and not been able to play) the game you want me to pay a monthly fee for something I cant even use?!?!? Common... Even I have an issue with that. I am about ready to turn in both copies I paid for. Severly dissapointed. Any you wonder why the first version flopped. It shouldnt be Final Fantasy XIV: A Relm Reborn... It should be a relm rehashed

The server load wasn't the problem with the first one and WOW apparently had the worst start ever to the point that they gave people many free months to compensate for it. Sometime things surpass expectations and theory, and server issues are apparently normal at any MMOs start.

But the problem is that they dont seem to care. instead of pushing back a release date (which I personally would respect way more), they launch knowing there is going to be problems. Black Ops II did the same thing and PS3 players were left holding a game disk and their *#@!* and said pretty much sorry about your luck with ZERO compensation for it. Hell Treyarch wouldnt even respond to player petitions and those of us who preordered the game were suppose to get Nuke Town as an exclusive map but then Treyarch gave it to everyone for free.

The industry has STOPPED being accountable and have forgotten that it is us players that keep the industry going. If you make a game but no one is there to play it then you didnt make a game.

Look, they've been very talkative ( http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/76132-Login-Issue-Update?p=1132817#post1132817 ) about this problem, they're extending the free trial, this happens to MMO launches so much that many people wait up to two weeks after launch to avoid this, and the game itself plays great (once you can get onto a server) as far as I've heard. You also can't really compare an FPS to an MMORPG. So, I don't think your complaints amount to anything other than whining, which is another symptom of MMO launches from what I've read.

The biggest screw-up I've heard is that they didn't implement an AFK-kick timer, so people are not logging out of a server once they get into one.

Hey if you wanna make lame excuses for shit that doesn't work to give them an excuse then that's on you. When I buy something I expect it to work.

It doesn't change the facts though. It even happens to WOW. http://pcgmedia.com/mists-of-pandaria-launch-marred-by-incredibly-lengthy-login-queues/
