Not because I end up getting bored and dropping them, but because I get TOO into them. My thought process is like: "If I finish this anime, then there will be no more of it to watch" I literally have over 40 anime series that I've started, but haven't finished. This also happens to me with some videogames but that is for another forum. Anyone else do this?

It's sooo tough to finish a series or even come close to finishing it when you're completely enveloped in the plot and characters. I have this problem all the time! However, I've found that if I take a break from watching it somewhat like 1-2 weeks and also layer this on with new anime titles that I start watching, then the suspense and envelopment sort of fades out. You should try it, it helps a lot!

That was me you are thinking of Hahaha forreal?! Well I remember you gave a pretty legit argument to why you do this, but you two still amaze with your mental endurance. I would rather hear nails scratch on a chalkboard all day than not finish a good anime. it would just bother me so much.
