Tomokazu Sugita is in this anime.

And/Or

Kana Hanazawa is in this anime.

Equals

TrueGoober is going to watch this anime.

I'm real original with my choices of seiyuu I know. Tomokazu Seki, Hiro Shimono, Rie Kugimiya, and others whose names I can't remember off the top of my head. They all earn their respective animes bonus points for being in them.

Wow just from using one word that you don't agree with it makes someone ignorant, weeaboo, and a japanophile. And nobody said anything about a terrible show. BTW it's weeaboo, don't want anyone to think you're ignorant of the word's proper spelling.

OT: No, I've never picked an anime based on the VA. I might have been exploring their previous work and then saw something that was interesting. But I've never thought to watch an anime based on the fact that a VA is in it.

I won't choose to watch an anime based (solely) on who's doing voice work, but I do think of it as a bonus when I'm liking a certain show, and it features an actor who's work I've enjoyed in the past. For example, Miyuki Sawashiro in Stella this season.

That would be a very shallow reason to watch any show just becuase your favorite voice actor is in it..

So my answer is No
and its not because I dont know the voice actor , I actually do pay attention to the acting and recognize a lot of the japanese seiyuu and the voice actors in the US becuase I am trained in that field of voice over.

There are a lot of wonderful anime out there and you will end up limiting yourself if you do that.

First of all you're trying to tell me how to spell a word that doesn't exist, it's internet slang, second of all both "Wea" and Weea" give the same annunciation so it doesn't really matter and thirdly, using "seiyuu" or any other Japanese word whilst speaking in another language is normally a decent indicator to someone being a "Weeaboo" other traits usually follow like hating anything from the west, hating the dub regardless of if it's better acted/written/fits or just thinking anything Japanese reins supreme, now I guess you hate the dub or anything from the west too making you a weeaboo.

NGL, I watched Mushishi for Travis Willingham. I did like the premise though, and I'd heard great reviews, so having him voice Ginko was just an added bonus I guess.

No. The I never pay attention to the voice actors when I'm picking which anime to watch. However, it might influence which anime I keep watching.

Nope, but I find it a pleasant surprise when I hear a voice actor that I know.

Yes it does exist, it was first used in a comic http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/subcultures/weeaboo. And so is meeeeeeeeeam an ok way to spell meme? Of course it does matter. Yuu dont goe uhround tolking laik this doo yuu? Normally a decent indicator, not not really. This is an anime site where people talking about anime and have at least general interest in them and possibly Japanese culture. Saying one word in Japanese does not mean someone is a weeaboo. You're right about the thinking Japan is the best while hating anything from your culture is what would make someone a weeaboo. But not liking dubs or using a Japanese word where it fits isn't. It is your opinion that any dub is good and or fits better than the original audio.

I picked a few anime that I probably wouldn't have watch expect for the seiyuus this season. One example that turn out being a bad decision was Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyou, even my one of my favorite seiyuu couldn't save the series and I'll probably rate it a 4/10 or a 5/10 at best and that pushing it.

Although Uchouten Kazoku was a good decision cause I had add it to my list and was expecting to completely hate it and drop it and it end up being a better than expected series and end up being my surprise favorite of the season.
