LIfe's treating me like I cheated on it and stole its life savings. But other than that, I'm doing great!

Maybe that's because you smell funny. You were gifted a large amount of animal sidekick feces after all.

So I have a question for you awesome mods. The forums are rather large, involving many sub-forums, how do you lurk them? Are you given a special set of tools that alert you when there is a new thread/post? Do you need to refresh pages, or is the content added dynamically? I assume you have a system in place for handling Reports, but you seem to have pretty good response time on things that I don't think are reported. I am just curious, what features do you have, if any, above and beyond what we have.

Quick question:
What year did Crunchyroll came to be?

^ I think it was in 2005. It used to be listed in the About page, but it doesn't seem that way anymore.

I don't know if we can really discuss it openly (if not, my apologies to starry, baker and the rest of the mod team), but, essentially we have a tool that can generate a list of all the newly made threads. we can also search out specific posts if need be. and coupled with obsessively scouring each forum/sub-forum, refreshing pages and reading the reports, you pretty much have an idea of what a forum moderator has at their disposal.

To my knowledge, Crunchyroll was founded officially in or around 2006. It was definitely available to the public by at least mid 2006. Shinji and his buddies probably spent most of 2005 making the site functional, etc.

Bedlam why did you fib?!?!

See Beardfist this is how it works....

I go up to my magic wall mounted lcd monitor and I say...

"Magic LCD Monitor on the wall, what is the most ban worthy thread of them all?"

Then it gives them to me in a nice ranked list of 1-10.

That might be cool the first time, but it would get annoying pretty fast. Can you imagine saying that like 40 times a day?

Oh, I guess my method is a bit out-dated then... Personally I catch a pidgeon, and then I use its fading yet beating heart to active my moderator magick which will stay active for 8 hours.

So the use of the word fading makes it seem like after you catch said pigeon, you slowly squeeze the life out of it like a tube of toothpaste. That is quite the grotesque way to moderate the forums. Have you thought about updating to the method bedlam uses?

Both of them are mine. AHTL isn't the only player here, you see. And on a side note, I was just going along with Carbo. Who'll expect that naughty kid to upload a screenshot here. Tsk.

Don't worry Starry ~ I've decided AHTL is extremely boring. His responses are pretty horrible excuses for trying to sound like some kind of con-artist, or a play-boy. Not even the kind of obvious transparency that can be taken as an art form. Simply boring.

I thought it would be fun, but it really wasn't. No offence AHTL ~

Also, maybe I shouldn't be confessing my love for my subjects anyways ~ What would FUNi-Kun say ~ ? Ho ho ho.

Honestly, I rarely do it that way anymore. My favorite personal method is a lot more fun to use.

I have a tattoo of the all-seeing eye on the palm of my left hand. All I have to do is rest my hand on the keyboard, mutter a few words in aramaic, and the wall behind my computer starts bleeding (only downside is that I have to wait a minute for it to finish generating the list of current transgressions... the bleeding effect tends to be a tad bit on the slow side.) The cleanup can be a bit messy too. Thankfully I've got a brùnaidh and a zashiki warashi on retainer in the household. They love cleaning things up and keeping my house in order... provided that I show them some attention and verbally laud their efforts every now and then.
