Yes, because we are hard-wired to see the healthiest people as the most attractive, so people of a healthy weight are considered to be the most attractive. However, healthy weights come in all shapes and sizes, so one person's healthy weight is most likely different from another person's healthy weight, which means that this group of "skinny" girls that men are most attracted to ends up being a variety of women with different body sizes. Therefore, the word "skinny" in this particular context should refer to a girl who is reasonably close to the ideal weight for her unique body.

Don't judge a book by its cover.Oh please put the load of crap somewhere else. For every legit 'blah blah imbalance' excuse, there are about 1000 people that are either lazy bastards, cant control their appetite out of their own mental weakness, that dont take care of themselves, or dont realise McDonald's is bad for you. So how do you know which one is which, or are you going to err on the side of hating everyone? Sounds like some emotional baggage...... Who said anything about hating them? I just find it stupid when people bring up something that has as much grain in it as a processed chicken. I've had my fill of bullcrap metabolic and chemical disorder excuses. I've never seen someone eat health, exercise, and still be a fat ass. Just sayin'. How would you be able to know that about everyone? You can't follow everyone like that around all day and be health monitor. You didn't actually say you hated them, but when you call them lazy "bastards" with mental weakness, "fat ass" & "bullcrap" excuses, it doesn't sound like love to me. It sounds like you're taking their problems as a personal affront. You're obviously just a fool. The same can be said about you, you cant follow everyone like that around all day and be a health monitor. So how do you know that their bullcrap excuses are true? I've never seen someone eat healthy, exercise and still be a fat ass. I have however, seen obese kids and adults complaining about some medical problem while they chomp on a bag of doritos. The only time I've seen a fat person exercising or at the gym is when they are in the process of 'losing' weight. Admitting their mistakes towards health and trying to get better. I've never seen a fat person working out and saying "Oh, no I work out a lot this is my routine. I just have a metabolic disorder so thats why im fat." The only time I hear that crap about a disorder is like when I said above. So you can go ahead and keep trying to make pointless arguments simply out of being a stubborn fool. However, reality doesn't really see things eye to eye with you. Just sayin'. Anyway, my stating of true facts and calling someone a 'lazy bastard' when they are indeed a 'lazy bastard', a 'fat ass' when they are indeed a 'fat ass' or stating something as 'bullcrap' when it is indeed 'bullcrap', has absolutely nothing to do with me taking it as a 'personal affair'. If you thought that way, then if I called someone beautiful, smart, or any sort of compliment you could say the same thing. Fools like you never think that way though, you just go cry in a corner because someone said something 'mean'. Mean or nice, the truth is the truth. Stating the truth holds no meaning on my own personal feelings towards the affair. If I were to state a lie, then that would mean it was personal as I would be trying to bend the truth to my benefit. Kind of like what you are doing. You are taking my stating the truth as a personal affront and constantly attacking it. Why attack the truth? I'm now done with you, I need say no more. You are indeed a fool. And taking out of my time to explain this to you is also not out of personal feelings towards this specific subject, but actually because I just dislike fools like yourself. I want you to have a chance to correct your foolish ways, you fool. Oh, I'm sorry. I mistook you for an adult. Nobody can have a decent discussion with an emotional little boy who can't handle a debate without getting his panties in a wad and throwing a tantrum. That's what I get for chatting with someone who left his mamma's teat not too long ago and expecting a civil discussion, but then again my 18 year old has better manners...must be just you. Grow up, dufus.....and now I'm done with you. |

Me being a curvy girl, or PHAT girl. I prefer it, being skinny isn't everything. Just means your skinny. Doesn't change the fact you're nice, ugly, asshole, etc. Just means you fit into a different size. I'm not obese, sure maybe a little overweight but unlike others I'm not afraid to show it or rock it. Being curvy is awesome, you actually have a body frame, and no I'm not being mean to others, I'm just telling it how it is. Because being like a tooth pick isn't everything you should love who you are, unless you really need to lose weight you should be focused so much on it. Being curvy has actually enhanced my hourglass. Thank you, you luscious curves!

Losing weight for some can be impossible. I have an endomorph body, I can still lose weight but it's really hard. Even eating healthy - - which isn't a chore, and exercise which I enjoy doing cause who doesn't love sports? I'm not choosing sides although they're people out their who shouldn't judge a book by it's cover but then again shouldn't engorge themselves to the max with junk food, and not do shit. I guess you can say I agree with everyone. Stop being children guys, it doesn't matter it's just a forum! This isn't an emotional deal though, it's just a preference. |

SailorBee wrote: Who cares what guys prefer, my body is for me, and I love it ~ If I start hating it, I simply change ! I'm by NO MEANS Skinny I think, but being curvy helps with my cosplay so ~~~ Plus, most men are floored by confidence, so I think that's the most valuable thing a girl can have in her ARSENAL ~ Same goes for women , showing some confidence will get you a lot further than looks. But to answer the question , as many others have said , everyone has their own tastes - but every guy I know prefers girls with curves / some weight. No one really wants to date a skeleton. |

I haven't read through all the comments, but here's my two cents:
In general attraction is one part familiarity, one part society, and another part deception. There is a reason why you hear stories about men marrying women that look like their mom. Society plays an important part in determining beauty. Just look at classic paintings of women and they are not skinny because being skinny was the same as being poor. And deception? Well we all have our self doubts, and through style, make up, and bodily changes our image changes. Once you understand this you come to realize that the cliche of beauty being only skin deep is wrong. What I mean by that is beauty is simply perception. The definition of beauty in modern day Japan is not the same as it was in ancient Rome. Likewise, in today's complex society there will be those who prefer skinny girls over those who aren't. There will also be those who find them very unattractive. What really is important is accepting yourself for you you are. There are billions of people out there. As long as you have the courage and don't give up there is someone out there looking for someone just like you. |

I'm not picky, for me it's all about the face. If they don't have a nice face I'm not into them no matter what else they have.
P.S. Smokers are an automatic no too. |
