It depends on which is worse: asking the same person out over and over again to no avail, or having asked out several different people.
The latter situation is much more desirable, and assuming the final one turned you down, you may simply move on to the next target.

yea, this is the first thing that went through my mind. and on the astronomical chance that it could ever happen there can be only one response: laugh. though I dont understand why you would ask the same person out several times anyways, its either yes or no there is no reason to ask again tomorrow.
