People keeps naming well known animes. If they are quite famous, then there is a limit of how bad they can be. (Madoka, school days, etc..)

Anime that is so bad you never heard about it, only another person mentioned the 1st one. These have no fan service, no comedy, crappy action, no love story or anything.

1.) XENOSAGA!!! (So bad... just....bad)
2.) Soul Link (I don't know how I manage to finish it, i guess i was just waiting for the story to actually start and before i knew it, it was already over)

Inuyasha. And no its not the plot/action/romance that ruined it for me. Its naraku. I swear he never dies and is the most irritating villian ever.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought School Days was the worst! The difference between the first and last episode, not worth mentioning anything in between, was, well, pyscho?!

well, just because something is popular doesn't mean it's good, or that everyone would/should like it. case in point: the modern american music industry. 99% of it is godawful, yet a lot of people don't think it is.

When something is popular, there has to be people that likes it. For School Day, its for people that played the game. I personally liked School Days, there's story, love, fan service. As for Madoka, I hate it as much as people that hate school days.

But terrible anime like XENOSAGA!!! I loved the game a lot. but the anime is a complete different story. You will not find a single person saying "YO, have you ever watched this anime called XENOSAGA? It is so good! you should give it a try." I doubt anyone here who ever watched it will say they LIKED it or even think its OK.

99%... no... more like 70%. Just like anime you have to search for good artists. On a side note, I enjoyed Xenosaga and Soul Link.

The one show I honestly couldn't get into at all was Naruto...

Also which form of "Worst" are you asking for? If you mean the worse as in most effed up, I would agree with school days (kind of...also higurashi, etc etc etc...tons)

But in terms of quality, I thought School Days was actually really well written. I hated it, GOD did I hate it. But I applaud the author. No other author has been able to stir up soooo much hatred in me towards a character.

Edit : Also before anybody thinks I'm limited to a few shows so I didn't have many to pick from...I've seen hundreds..I just dislike Naruto :<

i agree only id say i really hate naruto. dislike isnt strong enough

As a girl who enjoys both shojo and shounen, I'll give a list for both.

Shoujo:
Vampire Knight-
Just... no. The first episode had me so bored tears were running down my face. I could already see it ending up as a harem. The characters were shown to be flat, boring and one-dimensional from just the first episode. The only interesting thing in the plot is, "vampires" and that's it.
Kaichou Wa Maid-Sama-
Maybe not as bad as Vampire Knight, but it's pretty close. The humor was pretty damn lame, the main girl character was too "perfect" and so was the "hot" male character. The plot wasn't too interesting, too.

There are others I disliked but not as much as these two.

Shounen-
Sword Art Online-

A good time waster, but otherwise isn't good really. The first part with just SAO was fine- the characters were pretty boring since they were, as always, perfect but the plot was decent enough to keep me hooked. When they went into AOL I had to keep myself from dropping it. The whole Leafa thing was boring as fuck, not to mention the heaps and heaps of un-needed, unwanted fanservice. And the ending was pretty damn horrible.

Well I kind of want to say it was Garzey's Wing....however I've now seen Garzey's Wing three times and I honestly don't hate it. It is defiantly one of the worst things I've ever seen in my life (anime or otherwise) but it is soooo bad that it's actually highly entertaining (especially in English because it has one of the worst dubs you will ever hear in your life).
As far as a series that I just really didn't enjoy though, I'd have to go with Gantz. I know a lot of people really liked it but I was just never able to get passed the er...thing with the dog in the second episode, and how unlikeable the entire cast was. I also felt it had a really strong misogynistic vibe to it that bothered me.

School Days IS a truly horrible show. Although many like it because it is a deconstruction, I think it was purely coincidental. I don't think the author knew they were making a deconstruction of the harem genre, and if they did then they must have known it would be hated when it aired. If you want to watch a series that turns its genre over on its head, go watch Fullmetal Alchemist, which everyone can practically agree is an amazing anime/manga series.

Also, others say its writing is spot on in the way it makes you hate it. Isn't that a bad thing? Why do you want your show to be absolutely loathed by the world and be known for being absolute crap?

It's unexpected and different while being horrible because what starts out as a typical romance goes straight down the toilet in favor of a sex-only relationship with many partners. The characters are anything but fleshed out, the plot deteriorates, and the ending (while satisfying, does not make up for the fact that the rest of the series is the worst anime I have ever seen.

How can you hate on Madoka Magica!

You have to really appreciate (whether you disliked the show or not) how they were able to create such an intensely deep lore through a 12 episode show. They paid really close attention to detail in this anime, and there's so much there if you look for it.

Just go to the wiki and look at the character pages. It will take you hours and hours to read through all the speculation, trivia, and details behind the events that transpire in that anime. While I don't consider Madoka Magica to be my favorite anime, maybe not even top 5, you just can't help but at the least respect how they took a magical girl theme and made it both dark and complex.

The worst anime in the world to me are the cash cow animes. Anime to me that goes beyond 60-70+ episodes is a lost cause, I see no point to watching them. I'm looking at you Shounen. Fairy Tale, One Piece, Bleach, Naruto...I despise these animes. I will never understand how anyone can truly like watching the same character see little to no character development over hundreds of episodes (probably with tons of filler included) watching them kill the same (if not close to the same) bad guy with the same epic finishing move (looking at you Natsu...). The main character will never die, and neither will his fan-favorite side kicks. There's just no point. Without any engrossment with the characters lives or the ability to follow a story that has an end to it, I just find myself not caring at all.

Dragonball Z got a pass from me because I was little when I watched it. That's it.

Hitman Reborn is shit. I hate everyone that was in the show. Literally I hated every character. I tried to like it I really did but I had to drop it around episode 40 because I could not take it anymore.
