Worst Anime Ever Watched?

Nioos wrote: cheapshotfail wrote: I'd probably have to say Bobobo-Bo-Bo-Bobo, since it has absolutely no plot, substance, nor form to it. If you include anything animated then hands down Boku no Pico. That has to be the worst possible thing I've stumbled upon, absolutely do not watch it. If you're curious read it on Wikipedia or something. By writing "absolutely do not watch it" is like tempting people to do the opposite. Yeah, that's the problem about human curiosity. That's why I tacked on "read it on Wikipedia or something." at the end. Hopefully that's the message people get out of it XD |

Gurren Lagann. Too much fan service both male and female. Seen too much power rangers as a child so the whole combining mechs is really plain and old to me.

One Piece and Gintama is the same, and this was after getting through about 6 episodes a piece. I really did try!!!!! For Gintama I felt the same way at first, but it gets increasingly better after the first ten episodes. Though ultimately it's a matter of preferences. As for the worst anime, one of them is definitely Ginban Kaleidoscope. Goddamnit... |

Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide mwhitco91 wrote: Shrapnel893 wrote: mwhitco91 wrote: I have three...they're all for different reasons. Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei: I hate this one most of all. It was waaaay to fast-paced for a sub, and far too strange and random, even to a guy like me, who enjoys random. It's strange--there were some parts that I DID like, and I actually watched the first season twice in my life, but I definitely regretted it. After watching the final episode, I just sat in my chair for 20 minutes, breathing, while thinking each of "It's finally over" and "Oh my god, what did I just watch" and "Why did I even finish this" and "I feel like I just slayed a dragon" and "I need a shower 'cause my brain's mushy now." I do have to say that I would consider watching it again if it was ever dubbed. ...Actually, no, I take that back. I will never watch that show again. Couldn't handle the Japanese humor? Anyway, I believe I can top that, with the realistic (very, to the point of being dry and bland in presentation) mecha show Gasaraki. Don't get me wrong, it's a wonderful show - just a pain to sit through and watch at points. It wasn't the Japanese humor, it was so fast that it overwhelmed me, y'know? I couldn't always catch when one part was supposed to end and another part was starting...and it was really confusing to me! Well, I guess that could be thanks to the Japanese humor...but I remember that there was this one skit where everyone was speaking total gibberish. For this skit, there was a set of subtitles at the top of the screen, and a set at the bottom, and they told two different stories for the scene that was being played. It was so confusing to me! TT_TT I dunno, one set of subtitles had something to do with an alien of some sort, and the other had something to do with Commodore Perry, or something...it was so weird. ._.'' I know exactly what episode you're talking about! lol And I have to totally absolutely agree with you, in fact, I had to go back and re-rewatch 2-3 times just to make sure I got everything. There were sentences flying everywhere! I didn't know who was saying what anymore haha. That's when I decided that sticking with the show was just too much to handle and took too much time to go back and read the subtitle. Trust me, I'm not slow when it comes to reading subtitles but that was crazy, even for me. I loved the show, it just was too much effort to rewind back so I could catch everything, like the stuff written on the chalk board. As for the worst one I've seen, well I'm gonna go pretty recent and say 'Brave 10'. Let's cram 10 underpowered characters with zero development or background with some sort of underlying story that they must come together to fight something... yeah, needless to say it was a huge waste of my time. Honorable mention to Eureka Seven: Ao, which wasn't THAT bad, just totally confusing and misleading. It's definitely NOT a sequel to Eureka Seven, don't be fooled like I was! |

Totally agree about Gintama (of course), though I think it gets a lot better after the character intros, which is around episode 20-30. And yeah, preferences do matter, if you don't like random comedy then you wouldn't like Gintama. It's my favorite show though. |

Worst Anime ever?
Well I dont remember becuase I tend to forget those but for the Winter season 2012-13, the worst anime ....that I saw is.... Amnesia becuase the adaptation is very poor and writing is weak It may not be the actual worst because whatever is the worser ... I did not watch it. As for Gintama , for those who does not get its many parody and comedy will not like GIntama at all.It is my favorite all time comedy anime for the past many many years. |

For me, Legend of Legendary heroes was a huge letdown ><
I did enjoy all the banter, plot devices, and character developments in the first 12-14 episodes of the series, which is what made the last 8-9 episodes seem so disappointingly executed. Seemed like one of those projects where they thought they would have a second season and got told half way through it wasn't going to happen. Then tried to cram an entire season into the last few episodes. |

If you include movies, Tales from Earthsea was terrible; no redeeming qualities. It's a peace of trash
Jyu-Oh-Sei. Most of the show was great. It fell flat for me. And the death of ____ was so stupid. Air- started off good, but went down hill. (Luckily Key-based got better with Kanon, and skyrocketed with Clannad) Phantom: Requiem for the the Phantom. It had so much potential but fell flat. The time jump hurt the series for me; continuity thrown out the door; stuff made no sense Full Metal panic is the worst?! I love Full Metal Panic. It's my go to recommendation for action romantic-comedy. I say "It's not a problem" all the time. love the show. |
