I'd say Japanese cars are the best, but topic if just american vs foreign so I choose foreign. I once saw this chart
that had accurate info that american cars needed more repairs than japenese cars. So if you choose American...it means you are wasting money and polluting more...disappointed in whoever would want to do that..

American domestic parts are cheaper then Foreign market parts though.
I was working on this Honda something...I think it was an accord.
Engine coolant temp sensor through Honda, 400 dollars.
Engine coolant temp sensor for a Chevy, 40 dollars.
Luckily for that application, they were one in the same, so I got away with the Chevy one in the Honda.

I love cars. I've owned and driven over 30 different cars, from stock family cars, to mildly fixed-up cars. I currently drive a 05' chrysler 300 with the 22's and all that shit, just cuz I wanted to roll like that at least once. My other car is a FD3 with basic bolt-ons. I also work at a juNk yard dealing with mainly imports that is a family business for 20years. There are many pro's and con's to American, Japanese, and Euro cars. First off, I'd like to say European cars are pieces of shit.BMW, Mbz, Volkswagon, etc. From the shitty interior pieces when they break, to the limbs you give to fix them/ repair them cost wise and figuring out what the hell is wrong with it. Sure when they are brand new and driven they are ok (except with my brother inlaw who has a 04 M3 and 05 5series BMW and hates cuz of constant need of repair regardless of going thru dealership), except when they go down hill, its DOWNHILL. American cars are just cheap. Parts are plentiful and fairly cheap. Resale value sucks. But man, them V8's move. Most japanese cars are just great. Solid life, solid design, easy to repair and replace any parts, and good resale value. Plus the parts interchange is awesome. Unlike euro cars....

I could write forever, but really don't feel like ranting.

I perfer american cause they are easier to work on. Japan is #2 because they have some really good cars. Euro cars, well as far as what the avaerage man can afford, they suck and they are ugly. The euro super car are the only good one but you have to be super rich to get one

well it depends. First off, the old muscle cars and hot-rods are good acceleration and high horsepower output but not they hare heavy and not so good for hitting fast corners. Also, they don't have good suspensions and thats why they tend to flip over.
Newer domestics have taken on more of a japanese styling both aesthetically and under the hood.
JDM cars are quite well made, good parts and have lots of variants some are cheap but still well-made and last a long time (civics) also there are exotics which are pricier but more luxury and most supercars are JHTC qualified.

I prefer JDM but Bovarian/Italian designs are the most wind resistant and fastest though it comes at a high price. F1 racecars are built reletively the same just with different branded parts used with different material.

In Conclusion, I guess its all about ones prefence of Speed, Handling or Acceleration.

American cars in general tend to be fast in a straight line. So if I wanted a very good drag car, an American car would be the right choice.

Asian cars tend to be more economical and fast in corners.

Same with Europeans, but Europeans make luxury cars.

This is far too general. In the end, it depends on the car itself and the type of car.....

I forgot about Australian cars. They're very similar to American cars. And they look awsome.

European cars I would consider owning:
Audi Quattro coupe
Volvo S40 R
Lancia Delta Integrale
Lancia Stratos
Lancia Rally 037
Peugeot 205 GTI
VW Golf GTI (any generation)
VW Golf R32
BMW M3 (E30)
Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3-16 Evolution II

American/Austrailian cars I would consider owning:
Ford Mustang SVO
Chevy Camaro IROC-Z
Shelby Dodge CSX-T
FPV GT

Japanese cars? I'm a JDM guy, so I like many Japanese cars. Most especially Subaru.....
