Unpopular anime opinions!

Clannad SUCKS.

Clannad After Story is HIGHLY overrated.

Moe is the cancer of anime.

Toradora is overrated.

Older anime series are far better than new anime series.

While I like Code Geass it pretty much is Japanese nationalism at its best. If it was made by any other country people would be screaming racism.

I think lots of the voice actors for subs sound the same. So I don't know how people get favorites.

I think I-pin should have been a guardian in Reborn and not lambo.

Shugo Chara is highly over-rated.

One Piece, Full Metal Alchemist, Bleach, and Naruto are horrible animes.

Sword Art Online was a great anime, though I do believe it could have lasted longer in both of the story arcs.

Harems are great, but the lead usually never ends up with the character I want them to. (Or they leave it open to not make some fans mad, which is worse in my opinion).

School Days had great artwork and a good story, though I will agree with the WTF opinion of the ending. Take that out it was enjoyable.

Although I don't read much Manga, I hate when an Anime deviates so far off of the Manga's storyline of the ones I do read, that it becomes it's own, or in some case the Anime chooses to do things differently, like in a Romance they change who the Lead ends up with, usually to please fans.

Subs are a lot better than Dubs, even though I can admit a lot of the actors sound the same occasionally, which can be annoying during flashbacks or talking off screen.

Opinion's are subjective, and thus so is your truth. Therefore it would only be truth for people that share the same opinion, and likely wouldn't cause them pain but rather pleasure in getting reinforcement for their opinion. On the other hand it would be subjective falsehood for people who disagree, even if it hurts them. Sorry its late and I'm a bit loopy, its just I find that idiom a bit funny in the context of opinions.

As for SAO I think my opinion on it is even more unpopullar. I think its passably decent with moderately low and high spots. I'm not terribly sure whether "SAO is shit" or "SAO is anime jesus" is the more popular opinion since they are both held vehemently by large groups of people. The one thing I never seem to hear is "Eh, its okay"

I thoroughly enjoyed School Days. Every single bit of it. I think everyone was just jealous that Makoto was a mad pimp and only liked the fact he got murdered because it helped them cope with the fact they were jealous of a fictional character.

I'm with you on "Eh, it's okay." And agree that I see a lot of opinions either hailing it as the greatest, or as complete dreck. I myself was leaning more toward the "this is really, really good" end of things early on, but after a few episodes retreated to "enjoyable to watch; could be better; could be worse."

And subs are really better than dubs, for most anime.

How is this an unpopular opinion? Who the hell thinks those 2-bit English dubs are any good?

2-bit? How about 5.1 surround sound dubs? They sure sound lot better!

Besides that, Dragonball Z is a lot of fun i.m.h.o. with all that screaming and Piccolo really sounds like a man in the dubbed version. Seeing and hearing the original version was very weird after that.

Well, somebody has been spell checked. It should be "subs are better than dubs!"

There is no issue that is so divisive in the anime community as subs vs dubs. I use to watch only dubs Then one day I was in a hurry and picked up an anime (this was in the very old days when you could go to a store and actually buy anime) that was subbed only. I did not realize this until I started watching it, I found it not bad at all.

Now for an opinion that will insult some ....anime is a Japanese product made for the Japanese audience To insists it be dubbed is an insult
Would an English speaking audience insist that The Umbrellas of Cherbourg or The Seventh Seal be dubbed before watching or giving it respect? Anime should be treated the same imo and spoiled English speakers need to learn how to read or don't watch.

The day that anime is made with an English speaking audience in mind is the day anime is DOOMED!

just my opinion...
