There are many spectacular fights in Naruto Shippuden but I think my favorite one would have to be Sakura & Chiyo vs. Sasori in episode 26. This fight not only has stunning, fluid animations but it also utilizes music in a way that helped me register with the characters emotionally.

This episode begins with Sasori shooting intense flames at Chiyo and Sakura. The flame and the following water animation are well done, but where the animation really shines is during Sakura and Chiyo’s battle with the akatsuki member’s 100 puppets. This is one of the most intense non-element ninjutsu/physical battles in the series and is a factor in why this fight is my favorite. Don’t get me wrong, it’s awesome to see fights with cool element style ninjutsus but I think it’s even more entertaining to watch hand to hand (in this case hand to puppet) filled battles. Sakura’s fight against the menacing marionettes is just so much fun to watch at 13:11 that you will want to watch it again and again. The animation looks amazing and makes Sakura look like a total bada**. Chiyo’s 10 puppets also have spectacular battle animations; from the way she sends them out to fight at 13:17, to their brawls at 12:50, 13:34-14:04, 15:19-15:24, and 16:31-17:24.

The other reason this fight is my favorite is because of the music. For example, at 5:54, when Sakura is frantically fighting against time to divert the puppet master and save Chiyo, the sound of a ticking clock begins to play. The sound effect builds up the tension and seems to slow down the animation, at least in my mind. This slowed perception of time heightened the intensity of the scene. As Sakura lands a powerful punch on the puppet master, both the heroines and even I felt a sense of relief. But that feeling was immediately taken away when Sasori literally pulls himself back together. The tune that plays as he reassembles himself seemed like despair itself. Through the music, I felt the same hopelessness the characters were experiencing. Then, as the puppeteer summons his 100 puppets at 10:26, a sinister sounding piece begins to play. This creepy melody made me feel afraid for the characters.

The music also stressed the magnitude of Chiyo and Sakura’s challenge. They were outnumbered, vulnerable to Sasori’s extremely lethal poison, and fighting a seemingly immortal ninja. This is also one of the main reasons this battle especially appeals to me. They face impossible odds and have to somehow overcome them. This makes the fight a lot more exciting.

Overall, the animations were eye candy and the music helped me connect with the characters on an emotional level. It even had a “David vs. Goliath” kind of aura to it, which are the type of fights I enjoy watching. This brawl contained everything I wanted in a fight and that’s why it’s my favorite.

My favorite fight in Naruto Shippuden would the brawl against Sasuke and Danzo. The reason why I chose this one is it really emphasizes on how far gone Sasuke was in relation to first leaving Konoha Village. He really had become a very brutal and angry individual whom had a lot of animosity toward the people of Konoha and its leaders for what had happened to the Uchiha clan. This fight had also revealed to us the true strength and techniques of Danzo who had been in the past a very mysterious head of the Spec Ops division of the Konoha army.

Even though this specific battle did not feature the title character I really do think this fight is one that is really a major part of the ongoing Naruto storyline. I was very much anticipating an encounter in some fashion dealing with these two characters basically due their relations to the Leaf Village and Sasuke's brother Itachi. Speaking of Itachi, the battle was more of an extension then the one between him and Sasuke, but I believe this battle had obviously better closure for Sasuke even though it ended with Danzo's demise.

Okay, other than the obvious BIG FIGHTS, the best one HAS to be
Rock Lee vs Kimimaro
BECAUSE this is the fight out of the group back in 'Naruto' where it really escalates with Lee becoming drunk. Neji fighting Kidomaru was epic, but this one definitely tops the cake.
We know how epic Lee is with his Taijutsu, then all of a sudden, he's drunk, and we REALLY SEE IT. My god I cant find the words to express the level of pure epic awesomeness in the fight before Gaara takes over.

I am not able to link the episode since i'm on a country where the Naruto's first saga is unavailable due to limitations, but the best fight of the entire naruto series for me is definetly NARUTO VS. SASUKE, the one at End Valley, is the most exciting, full of tears and accion, definetly, THE BEST FIGHT!

My favorite fight in Naruto is definitely Jiraiya vs. Pain.

Although Jiraiya lost and was killed, to me it was the moment where Naruto really got serious on an emotional level. Asuma's death was touching, but it didn't really hit home on the same level as Jiraiya's death. Also, the fact that he was murdered by his former students adds a great depth to the show, unlike what it had before, and led up to one of the greatest grudge matches in anime overall. Lastly, it introduced two very complex and intriguing characters: Nagato and Konan, both of which are two of my favorite characters to date. In conclusion, it was an irreplacable conflict in the Naruto series which has deeply moved its audience and myself, and made Naruto one of the most memorable shows in anime.

The fight lasts for a couple episodes, so I linked the episode when the fight starts.

My favorite Naruto Shippuden fight is right after Asuma dies and Naruto, Kakashi, Sakura, Shikamaru, Choji and Ino team up to fight Hidan and Kakuzu of the Akatsuki. It's my favorite because of the crazy animation during the fight. We get to see Kakashi pushed to his limit's with his jacket off, and his mask partially torn. We also get to see Shikamaru go toe to with the immortal Hidan and come out on top. And to rap it all we get to see Naruto's new rasen shuriken. I also love how we got to see Kakashi using the rasengan and naruto's reaction seeing him use it.

The way how Naruto got furious and full of rage was just numbing and made me felt uncomfortable. I LOVED IT! You didn't know what to expect from this fight. Orochimaru didn't want to admit it, but he was scared.

Jiraiya vs. Pain

Episodes 130-133

My favorite fight in Naruto Shippuden is undeniably Jiraiya vs. Pain. I feel I should explain my reasons for this in two parts : at a story level pertaining to the series and at a personal level.

- - - - - - - - - -

This fight did a few things for the story. It legitimized Pain as the focal villain of Naruto at the time. He managed to kill one of the Legendary Sannin, something that didn't seem possible. Jiraiya threw everything in his arsenal at Pain - from abilities we've already seen such as the Rasengan to new abilities like his Sage Mode. And yet, no matter what Jiraiya tried it seemed Pain had an answer for everything. It left the impression that if Pain could kill someone as strong as Jiraiya, could anyone defeat him?

Jiraiya discovered the trick to Pain's Six Paths and that his true identity was actually that of his former student, Nagato. The Great Toad Sage's prophecy stated that a student of Jiraiya would bring about a great change in the ninja world - either destruction or stability. The teacher and student relationship added depth to the fight as Jiraiya cared deeply for his students and felt it was his responsibility to defeat Pain.

Lastly, the most important thing this fight did was set up the eventual encounter between Pain and Naruto - both students of Jiraiya with clashing ideals. Before he died, Jiraiya believed that Naruto was the child of prophecy and entrusted him with the future.

"For everyone knows that a student inherits his ninja way from his teacher."

We also learned in one Jiraiya's flashbacks that Minato and Kushina named Naruto after the hero of his book, making Jiraiya his godfather. This added just the right amount of sentimental development to the story. Jiraiya's death helped Naruto develop further in the series.

On a personal level, Jiraiya vs. Pain will always be my favorite fight in Naruto because it brought me back into the series. I admit that I had stopped watching Naruto for a long while because it stopped appealing to me (and lets be honest, I'm sure that this has happened to others too.) But one fateful day I thought to myself, "Hey self, I haven't watched Naruto in a long time...maybe I should take a peek and see how its doing."

I decided to start watching it again at Episode 126 and was amused to see Jiraiya, one of my favorite characters who's story I was emotionally invested in. A few episodes passed by and eventually the fight between Jiraiya and Pain unfolded right before my eyes. It was quite frankly the most incredible thing I've ever seen in Naruto. I shed manly tears for Jiraiya's demise but at the same time nodded in approval for the villain who ended him, Pain. Needless to say, I never regretted my decision to watch Naruto again after witnessing this monumental clash. I even began to question why I stopped watching Naruto in the first place. It reinvigorated my passion for Naruto and to this day I haven't missed a single episode of Naruto Shippuden. Thanks to Jiraiya and Pain having such a memorable battle that I will never forget, Naruto rejoined my weekly watching list.

Side Note(s): It was quite the challenge to explain my reason in less than 500 words (I had to shave my original rough draft down from 1000+ words!) but I managed to do it with a word or two to spare. If you took the time to read my reason I'd like to thank you for doing so and I wish everyone the best of luck in this and future contests.

My favorite fight has to be Naruto Shippuden Episode 143 -- The Eight-Tails Vs. Sasuke.

This was one of the first videos where Tobi's plans finally went into action towards capturing the last two Jinchuriki. It was also the introduction of Killer Bee, the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki, who I must say is such a lovable character! Sasuke was the other character in action, finally making use of his new Mangekyou Sharingan after the fight with Itachi, as well as some of the great teamwork among the Akatsuki's Team Taka. Overall we got lots of intense action, strategy, jutsu, and plot development. It's episodes like these that make me really appreciate the Naruto series as something special!

Naruto Shippuden Episode 247 – Target: Nine Tails

My Favorite Naruto fight is the fight between Naruto and the Nine Tails. It was the day he finally overcame his hatred, understood what happened in his past, met his mother for the first time and learned about her and how she and his dad met. That day he also gained new insight and strength and could from that day forward focus on becoming the hero his dad and the village wants him to be.

Killer Bee vs Sasuke and Hawk – In this fight there is 2 firsts: 1) Sasuke faces his first opponent whose movements he can’t read even with his active sharingan, leaving Sasuke unable to land an attack or defend himself. 2) It is the 1st time Sasuke begins fully use his new Sharingan powers, allowing him to completely turn the tides of battle with one attack. Also, Sasuke shows a glimpse of compassion for his comrades. "Float, Float like a butterfly.. Hachibi, Sting like a Bee!!!"
