Episode62 " A Failures True Power"

There are certainly battles that have more action and better showcase Naruto's strength, however, for me the battle between he and Neji is the most important and most exciting. Up until this point Naruto is the knuckle-headed ninja who hardly anyone respects or expects to do well. As a viewer, seeing this fight for the first time, we even doubt whether he will win, because it is merely competition with little consequence if he loses. As Neji constantly reiterates, Naruto, is an orphan without great bloodlines or talent and must rely solely on determination and his incredible chakra. Later we learn that he's the son of the fourth Hokage. If the public would have known this from the beginning, all would have been behind him, or at least treated him as they do Konohamaru. Besides the fights with Sasuke, the consequences of subsequent fights (such as with Pain) would be the end of the show, so I don't think we realistically expect a loss is possible. Also, in this battle, we begin to see that Naruto does have strategic abilities, rather than simply rushing forward as he had done previously. Finally, because a win for Naruto is so unlikely, when he does win the reaction as a viewer becomes that much more gratifying.

Jiraiya v. Pain

I like this one because when Jiraiya dies after putting all of his effort to try and defeat the Six Paths of Pain it really impacts your emotions. The whole fight is great but this part to me is just really saddening.

My favorite fight would be the fight between Hinata and Neji. In this fight, this is the first fight/first time that Hinata really gives it her all. Even though she almost died, she still gave it her all and after this fight, she started to grow more confident in her abilities.

My favorite would likely be Episode 143 – The Eight-Tails vs. Sasuke .
I felt it brought team Taka closer together and really taught them that they're not invincible. No matter how strong each of them were, with their forces combined there was still someone out there capable of beating them to a pulp.

Gaara VS. Rock Lee

My favorite fight of the Naruto series would be the fight between Gaara and Rock Lee because both of them are my favorite characters. In this episode Gaara is silent and malicious aura surrounded him while he uses his sand against Lee. Lee surprised everyone when he took off his extreme training weights and he also surprise me when he started to attack Gaara. It made me jump out of my chair and become like Sakura rooting for Lee when he started to attack Gaara. His speed impressed me when he was able to hit Gaara. Lee took Gaara out of his comfort zone and started to scare him with his speed.
The part where Lee used the lotus to sent Gaara into the air was so amazing. His preparation for his attack by running circles around Gaara was unbelievable because it shows the speed of Lee. This was the turning port for the defender to be the attacker and it was the time for Gaara to shine with his sand attacks. It shown how powerful Gaara was when he was young and how scary he was with his manipulation of sand. The attacks that he was throwing at Lee shown how good is his sand manipulation jutsu is. Lee just had to take the attacks and shows how tough Lee is.
Lee kept surprising me when he opened four of the hidden gates to attack Gaara with his super strength and super speed. Attacking Gaara to sent him in midair was so awesome and keeping him there with his super speed attacks. Pummeling Gaara until his sand armor crumble and making him defend less to his attacks. Opening the fifth gate of closing to strike the last hit against Gaara was so overwhelming because it was his powerful strike he could muster in the fight.
After, Gaara getting hit by the hidden lotus and survive show how super strong Gaara was when he was young. Gaara still able to attack Lee with his sand coffin surprised me and able to walk later was so astounding. The end of the match was so breathtaking to me because of Lee being able to stand unconscious shows how great his ninja way is. To stand with will alone was the most remarkable thing any character in Naruto could do and became my favorite fight. Watching it over again still has the same feeling of awesome.

I would have to agree with jmbmejia above. That Gaara vs. Rock fight was priceless, classic, and freaking intense.

It has always been my favorite and I have a feeling that it will always be, even if there are some interesting fights to come later in the series.

Jiraiya Vs. Pain

My Favorite Naruto Shippuden battle is when Jiraiya fights Pain! This is one of my favorites, because I think this is one of the most important battles that occurs in this show. This is where we finally get to see a true glimpse of Jiraiya's true power as a Legendary Sannin. Not only do we find out that he his a sage master (With the the help of two elder frogs Shima and Fukasaku) but we also learn that he once was the teacher/master to pain. Even tho this battles leads to the death of Jiraiya we see that he fights to the very last moment trying every powerful genjutsu he knows to survive. In many ways his death was necessary for it was his death that lead Naruto to finally realize how it felt to lose someone you love, letting him experience the feelings that drove Sasuke to hatred and revenge. Not only did this battle show true power where Jiraiya put all his remaining energy left just to send Naruto a message, but it also showed the raw emotions that Jiraiya had for his students; the type of emotions that kind of leave you feeling sad and happy at the same time, for Jiraiya died with a smile on his face realizing that the child of prophecy was Naruto (which broke my heart ). The effect of this battles had a lasting effect on Naruto making him stronger in many ways, which ultimately lead him to winning against pain/Nagato Because of Jiraiya's death Naruto realized that even tho he wanted to avenge his master, revenge was not that way to go. This Battle is one of my favorites because if it did not happen Naruto would not be as strong as he is now.

My favorite episode is episode 299 – The Acknowledged One. It is my favorite fight because it is the first time the anime showcases the extent of Naruto's powers in nine-tails chakra mode. Also because it brings back some of my favorite characters—Itachi and Nagato. It is cool because we get to see the heavy hitters—Itachi, Killer Bee, and Naruto— fight against the true power of Nagato instead of his six paths of pain.

My favorite fight of Naruto Shippuden would have to be Naruto vs. Sasuke after Sasuke defeated Danzo. I think this really captured the essence of Naruto's meaning of wanting to save Sasuke from the depth of darkness and Sasuke's true vision of pure hatred and despair. Both are on opposite ends of the spectrum and don't quite see eye to eye. It truly was a tearful moment seeing two best friends give it their all in a battle that would pit their hopes and desires into perspective. Like Itachi had said, "Sasuke is a blank canvas…anyone can paint them into their colors" , this battle had shown that this canvas was painted on upon revenge and all light has disappeared and Naruto came to the realization if fate is upon them one more time, both would fall into battle. The legacy these two have created good or bad must soon come to an end, leaving both friends to a fight to the death.

Sakura and Granny Chiyo vs. Sasori the entire fight was phenomnal and Granny Chiyo taking control over Sakura using her Puppet Mastery was epic...

Sakura not only showed her abilities as a top notch Medical Ninja, she also showed her abilities as a top fighter, getting to show why she was personally trained by the Hokage.

Granny Chiyo also showed why, us Senior Citizens are still bad ass!

Tough choice for my favorite and if asked again I might even change my mind. I love the fight between Jiraiya and Pain. I know Jiraiya died and it was a sad moment but you got to see how powerful Jiraiya was. He had his arm torn off, his throat crushed, stabbed and still manage to get message out about pain. Jiraiya was truly remarkable even if he was a pervert.

Shikamaru v Tenmari during the chunnin exams.

Showed on how much of a different level tactically that Shikamaru was compared to the rest of the Konoha kids. He had the whole thing planned out pretty much from the start. Good stuff.
