Absolutely zilch! Lol, but I like watching things in subtitles, so I can watch almost any thing in any language. Except German, I can't read the subtitles fast enough! They speak really quickly.

すこし - Sukoshi (a little). I've listened to a bunch of those Pimsleur japanese audio lessons, done a little self-studying and even had a class in it. But like Spanish, I don't really practice it that much, so I've forgotten a lot of what I've learned in the past. |

I've read that Japanese is one of the hardest languages to learn along with Arabic, Chinese, & Korean.

Do I speak Japanese? No, I do not.
I have a very basic understanding of the language and I can interpret sentences from spoken words I know if the person speaking to me speaks slow enough and not in dialect. (Although I have a decent grasp on the Kansai dialect).
As far as speaking goes I can order food and drinks, ask for directions (and understand where the person is directing me to) and politely say "excuse me, please, thank you, I'm sorry and I understand".
Aside from that I have a decent grasp on Katakana and Hiragana.
Of course my vocabulary does extend quite a bit further than what I am saying above, but it's not near close enough to have a full conversation in Japanese.

My name is skyler, my high school taught (nihon-go)Japanese language. i had to which schools so i only took half a year of it. I know most of the basic's and if i forget anything i can just look at my "hon" (book). For anyone wanting to learn it i can say it's not easy at first and it requires you to memorize thousands hiragana and katakana. But if it's what you want go for it |
