How difficult do you find meeting people to talk about anime/manga with.

nearly all my friends are into it as well. Though I am probably the most into it out of my group of friends. I also found out that one of my coworkers like manga/anime and we've even talked about it at work haha.

I have trouble finding people talk about video games besides freaking Call of Duty!!!

Its murder to even find one person to talk about manga or anime with!

It is hard to find anyone at all to talk to for me. If I took anime into more consideration back when I was in high school instead of sports, I could talk to most of my friends about it. But, even being in college it's hard to find anyone to talk to that isn't into anything but Call of Duty.

I find them to be pretty elusive; however, I'm not interested discussing anime and manga a whole lot, so it doesn't really bother me.

Where I live near imposable (its a small town), I knew of a hand full of people in high school but they were a little too webooish for me so I didn't hang out with them (and I hid the fact that I was an anime fan because I didn't want people to think that I was anything like them). When I was away at college it was really easy. I was in an anime club, but there were also a lot of people in my hall who weren't in the club but where fans of some shows (not really anime fans, they just like one or two shows). I also converted my dad into an anime fan so if all else fails I can talk to him about it.

In this part of the country there is a lot of prejudice so it's hard to find people with different interests. If you want to talk about football and drink beer and do catcalls, you're all set to go here...but if you want to talk about anime, it can be hard to find people.

Sadly, many people around here were brought up to be macho so if you have any interest deemed unmanly, you have a good chance of being ostracized. The only place I've lived in where people were open minded was Austin, Texas and that's mostly because it's in the only liberal county in the entire state. Some other cities are alright like San Antonio or Houston, but even those places have groups of people who will try to make you feel inferior. Since I have moved away from Austin, I have virtually no one to talk to about anime, music, or writing.

Manipulation and guilt. I just found some really good anime shows that where really similar to live action shows/movies that he likes. Then I found a really good trailer to one of those shows and guilted him into watch it (I picked Gunslinger Girl, because the trailer is really violent looking he he). After that he agreed to watch it he liked it and then I was like, "Oh if you liked that there is this other show that is also really good...." By that time he was already in my clutches, it wasn't that hard you just have to know your target... Muwahahahahaha.

For some reason for me, I don't ask people about anime/manga. It just sorta flows in with the conversation. Plus I have a ton of friends who watch anime and read manga, and not just the Big 3.
