T.T

always wanted to ask that question...

By the way are there similar animes that are just as long and just as good?

I do know the anime show pretty much covered up to vol 16. The anime ended when it did because it had caught up to everything that was released for the series at that time.

Of course now there are 7 more volumes out they can use. It may be possible to get another season I think if the manga volumes sell well and if the first anime did well when it was out.
But yeah, I enjoyed the series a lot to and was disappointed when I found out it didnt get another season yet. So till then ill just read and catch up to the manga. Only read up to volume 11 i think.

Dgrayman is probably in my top 5 favorite anime. It really sucks they cancelled it, not really sure why they did. Yes they caught up at the time but there's more now and it's an ongoing series. I still hold some hope that maybe they will bring it back eventually, but considering how long it's been since it ended that's an increasingly slim chance. I read the manga anyways as the anime ran out on me, the manga is only about once a month release. Considering that, it will likely be another year or two or more before they bring back the anime, and animes rarely come back after such a long "hiatus". Not to mention it's possible the same company doesn't even have rights to it anymore or won't in another 3 years, though I haven't looked into that possibility.

I don't mind when a show goes on hiatus. It beats watching Naruto fillers any day of the week, although that isn't saying much. Hiatus doesn't necessarily equate to cancellation however, and I really hate cancellations. Dgrayman pretty much falls into the second category, along with a few other awesome anime that were inexplicably ended.
