I`m thinking of going to either Mizucon, Animate! Miami, or Anime Festival Orlando since those are later in the year and it gives me a lot of time to make friends and work on my cosplay. I definitely want to go to Megacon next year.

Hi. I'm Jalissa and live in south Florida with zero friends. I'd like to make some and go to cons wth anyone interested. ^_^ I'm a girl, into Homestuck (crazy about it now) funny I stared down this girl last year with wings that was dressed up as vriska and thought who and what the hell is that? Now I'm totally crazy about Homestuck lmao oh the irony~;P Anyway.... It'd be funner to do things with people and make friends so...if anyone's interested email me. I'll do my best and hey! Maybe we can do a duo cosplay if your into Homestuck too! :3

I would like to say I'am most definitely going to CHIBI-PA since I live in Deerfield beach and it's right in my area. :3

Is it just me or does anyone else think Metrocon is going to start failing in the upcoming years compared to Supercon & Megacon?

Metrocon has been going on for 14 years and have roughly 10K attendees.

Supercon has been going on for 10 years and have roughly 51K attendees.

Megacon has been going on for 23 years and have roughly 80K attendee's.

Metrocon can never seem to get many guests in. If they do they aren't very relevant or repeats. Nothing headlining. They dropped the ball this year on several occasions. 1. Moving artist alley into the dealers hall. It's not a terrible idea but it was rather sudden. 2. you can't walk the halls anymore without a pass. Passes cost just as much as supercon or megacon but they offer less for attendees.

They have their self produced shows but if you've seen one you've seen them all. They spend all of their time and effort into the shows rather the con.

Megacon is now in the Tampa Convention Center during the fall so I really wonder how much longer Metrocon can keep up.
