I recently finished watching 07 Ghost which I thought was amazing. Sad to find out it looks like they are not planning to make a second season of it.

:O I hate it when that happens you never know though some times it takes along while and sales might randomly pick back up. So it is slightly possible they make a second season. Although 2009 I am not really sure, it's been sometime.

I don't mind it being sad. That makes part of the story. Sorata has been grating my nerves ever since the first time he was being mean to Shiina during the episodes where she was learning to cook for him because she found out that's what you do to show you like someone. Then that last episode at the end where she happened to be right there with him when he went off just irked me. That's what I meant by that. Overall, it's been a good anime. Clannad is in a class of its own. It would be the top of my list if we were talking about anime not currently streaming.

Yea, that really pissed me of also because I am cheering for Shiina. They have a much better relationship then him and Nanami. Not to mention Nanami is a much less interesting and normal character. I enjoy the bond of Shiina over the first few episodes and feel she is a better choice. So sad to see what happened to Shiina in the last episode and her leaving :(.

Yea you can't really compare any anime to Clannad, at least not for me it's my favorite anime of all time. It's the best slice of life anime in my mind ever to exist. Although you are right it's not currently streaming so it's not really up to compare on this forum topic.

Getting on the topic of Clannad briefly, Amazon has the soundtrack for sale and I have it it my wish list. I enjoyed the music throughout the series. When I see/hear Snowfield it gives me chills and goosebumps.

Jun Maeda is a genius when it comes to composing music, he did a awesome job writing the story for Clannad and composing the opening and closing theme songs. Now to mention he did great with Angel Beats! Now I need to add that soundtrack to my wishlist thanks for the heads up. Did you play the VN for Clannad or just watch the anime?

The anime is what I watched in reference to Clannad. As far as Angel Beats goes, I have that soundtrack in my wish list too. I bought a piano last year and have been slowly messing around trying to play it.

So please ixnay on the pyramidbays okay? Thanks.

Yea, the VN is great it's worth a try if you like visual novels. Yea, musical instruments are quite complex but it's well worth it if you figure it out. As for the Angel Beats sound track I already have it.

TBH, I don't understand how the LN and such work. I recently started purchasing manga volumes for Claymore, D Gray man, and Vampire Knight. But, I don't know where people are getting these novels from and I see in the manga thread folks talking about chapters and such. I'm still new to the manga/book side. For instance, in the manga thread someone mentioned Naruto up in the 500-600 level or Boeach in that level then I also see the manga volumes around 50-60 so idk.

Oh, I love manga I don't really have a lot of manga but the few pieces I do have I love. I love going to Barnes and Noble and reading manga for free and then buying the good ones. Yea, manga is quite often ahead of it's counter parts. As for VN they are video games for the pc that you can read and makes choices along the story they are awesome!

Well, each volume of a LN series is made up of chapters. So volume 1 may contain chapters 1 -7, then volume 2 will continue with chapters 8 - 14, and so on and so forth. So when they say Bleach or Naruto being up to 500-600, I believe they just mean chapter 500 or whatever (which may be volume 50 or around there). Hope that makes sense. Also, I think people are just reading the scanlations online from illegal sites...

As for my fave series on CR:

Angel Beats
Anohana
Ef - A Tale of Memories
Slam Dunk
Gosick
Reborn!
SAO
Chihayafuru
