Far as I've heard, the manga isn't on hiatus. It just releases at a slow rate, about once a month, sometimes a bit slower. The author has some issues with her hands like carpal tunnel or something perhaps, anyways she has a hard time drawing as a result so releases are slow. As for the anime, it was ended years ago. This is obviously a horrible thing to have happen, but the likely hood of it coming back after this much time is pretty low. If it does, it will likely be in a few years after considerably more manga volumes have been released. Don't hold your breath though, just hope for an eventual comeback is all we can do.
